For guests that are here during the world famous Lauberhorn Downhill race, this is a must see event! For over 90 years Wengen has hosted the world’s longest men’s downhill ski race. Many fans gather at the top of the Wixi ski lift to watch an airshow by The Patrouille Suisse (Swiss Air Force) with the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau in the backdrop.

Just behind one of the Wengen churches are 3 benches for visitors to relax and take in the view. A bit of a local secret because the benches are behind a few bushes. Highly recommended for a sunset drink!

They server pizzas, pasta, and other Italian dishes. Service is sometimes not the most friendly, but it is still worth a visit. They also offer take-away pizzas for a discounted price. Great option for bad weather days, but a must see regardless of weather. Visit the indoor Waterfalls "Trümmelbach". When it's raining there's more water, making it even more impressive!

Best places for a drink
Start Bar - on the slopes
Known to many locals as the start of the end. Open in winter and select summer days. Called “Start Bar” because it is located next to the starting line of the Lauberhorn Downhill ski race. In winter, just take the Wixi ski lift up and you can’t miss the big crowds and pumping music. In summer you will have to hike up to Start Bar. It will take about 30 minutes from Kleine Scheidegg.
