Neighbourhoods

Scalby is an attractive and affluent village. We have tennis courts, a bowling green, a rugby club and a cricket ground. Additionally, many local stables have horse riding. The cinder path runs through Scalby, this is a disused railway providing good walking or cycling access to Scarborough in one direction and to Ravenscar in the other. It is also possible to link into the cinder path which takes the coastal route through to Whitby for those wishing to venture further afield. Scalby has two pubs, the Plough and the Nags Head for food and refreshments. There are many other similar establishments in the surrounding area along with a good choice of cafes and tea rooms.
