Mousa is a great day out - truly the Stonehenge of the north! The short boat trip and easy walk to the broch are a delight. Not to be missed (May-Sept every day except Saturday).

A fine viewpoint for Bressay and the east coast of Shetland. I'd recommend taking a stroll along the Knab wall to the viewpoint. Want to make it a circular walk? Take the path (not as steep as it looks) down the other side past the graveyard, the old Anderson High School on Twageos Road and up Lover's Loan.

Knab RoadA fine viewpoint for Bressay and the east coast of Shetland. I'd recommend taking a stroll along the Knab wall to the viewpoint. Want to make it a circular walk? Take the path (not as steep as it looks) down the other side past the graveyard, the old Anderson High School on Twageos Road and up Lover's Loan.
A visit to one of the UK's largest tombolos (a beach wave-washed on both sides) is not to be missed. A great day out all year round, especially if you walk to the exhilaratingly placed trig point at the north end of the isle.

Jam-packed with exhibits, the museum is an excellent way to delve into the history of Shetland. The first-floor restaurant has great views of Hay's Dock and Bressay. Worth a visit any day, not just when the weather stops you getting out and about!

With a great range of fresh fish straight off the boats, we're regular customers. If you cook them on the same day, Blydoit's haddock fillets are probably the best in Scotland - just remember to wash, dry, flour, egg and Ruskoline them!

A lovely summer day out that starts off with a zodiac ferry trip across from Bressay and finishes with breath-taking views from the top of the cliffs at Noss Head. The nature reserve boat runs May-Aug (10 am - 5 pm except for Mon and Thurs).

An excellent amenity on a wet day. The Clickimin has a large swimming pool, steam room, squash courts, exercise suite, etc. Check the website and maybe catch one of their many yoga classes.
