MONA is an absolute must see attraction in Hobart that lead to a tourism renaissance in Tasmania. An amazing facility that incorporates art, food, wine, beer and entertainment. Thought provoking and often challenging modern art combined with ancient artefacts. All housed in a purpose built structure burrowed into a cliff-face on the waterfront at Berriedale in Hobart's northern suburbs. You can catch the MONA ROMA ferry, bus or drive your car there. There are vineyards and Morilla Winery on site as well as the Moo Brew boutique brewery. Plenty of dining options including The Source and Faros restaurants. If you only do one thing in Hobart, make it a visit to MONA!

The magnificent mountain dominating Hobart's skyline. It's about a 30 minute drive to the 1200 metre summit, weather permitting. On a clear day you can see Hobart and south east Tasmania in all directions from up top. It is very windy and cold usually and often covered in snow in winter. There is a proposal to build a cableway up the mountain at the moment which would be great if approved to improve access at all times and be safer and better for the environment.
