A must-see while you're in the area. Docents will explain the elephant seal colony and behaviors. Try to go in the morning, as the afternoons can get windy and cold.

As you face the pier, walk the beach on your left and look for a hiking trail going up along the point. If you're moderately fit, you can easily do the walk. It's one of the most beautiful spots in the world.
