Excellent! Opens 24 HOURS! Has pretty much all you need for food, snacks, butchery, fresh bread and pastries baked at site, fresh milk machine, groceries, house supplies, electronics, clothing, furniture...and within a walking distance or a short Uber ride . Get directions online. Sample it. I find it Convenient, not too large and with free parking. Note Kitchen Garden supplies quite pricey and so best to shop at the Markets. We are able to recommend especially for our long stay guests. Our Housekeeper would be able to assist on how to go about it, as the markets in the Settlements where most have their residences. Getaway, about 30kms from the City.. Ngong Hills Kenya is a reserve for nature located in the Southwest of Nairobi and Northern Kajiado County along the Great Rift Valley. The name ‘Ngong’ is derived from a Maasai word meaning Rhinos Spring. Furthermore, there is a walking trail on the hilltop where tourists are allowed to walk when viewing the area at a fee. The Ngong Hills is managed by Kenya Forestry services and ensures the nature is well-preserved animals in the area and all kinds of plantations. Tour guides ensure the visitor’s day is well spent by taking them across to strategic sites such as The power plant, The Great Rift Valley viewpoint, The forested summit to view Nairobi city, and many other areas. It has seven hills, good for hiking. They start at the KFS Barrier to Corner Baridi about 12kms. There's also zip lining. Single and double lines. There's Archery and Quad bike too at the Kompass, Hill 2 .

Kenya's Rich History....'Out of Africa' home place... Set in the serene suburb of Nairobi, the Karen Blixen Museum not only provides the most comprehensive insight into the person of Karen Blixen, but also offers a fantastic space for personal reflection in our nature trail, against a back drop of Karen’s beloved Ngong Hills. The Karen Blixen Museum was once the centre piece of a farm at the foot of the Ngong Hills owned by Danish Author Karen and her Swedish Husband, Baron Bror Blixen-Finecke. Located 10km from the city centre, the museum belongs to a different time period in the history of Kenya, and later gained international acclaim with the release of the movie ‘Out of Africa’, an Oscar winning film based on Karen’s autobiography by the same title.

The 28-story building is located along Harambee Avenue in the city centre of Nairobi. The KICC rooftop is one of the coolest tourist spots to visit, along with the famous Giraffe Centre. Kenyatta International Convention Centre was constructed between 1966 and 1973 by the Government of Kenya as the premier conference facility in East and Centre Africa. This panoramic view has become a favourite among photographers and filmmakers who frequently use this location for shooting documentaries. The KICC was the tallest building in Kenya at the time of its construction. Even though it currently ranks among the top 10, this position isn’t likely to last for very long because new buildings are constantly being built. The tall, cylinder-shaped building is still regarded as one of Africa’s top conference venues. More than 4,000 people can fit in its largest ballroom. The KICC rooftop which also doubles as a helipad provides a 360-degree picturesque panoramic view of the city centre and its horizons. Take the elevator to the KICC rooftop, unless you feel up for the challenge of climbing stairs. You will ascend the elevator to the 26th floor before using the stairs to reach the 28th floor. This is the top floor. The helipad is at the very top, where you will then ascend a short flight of Roof Top Charged Citizen – Kenya Charges Adult Ksh 200 Children Ksh 100 Residents – East Africa Adult Ksh 300 Children Ksh 100 Non-Residents Adult Ksh 500 Children Ksh 200 International Students Ksh 300 East African Children/Kenyan children of Primary Schools and below Ksh 50 Video Shoot Ksh 15,000 Photoshoot Ksh 7,500 N/B: Remember to carry your national ID/ passport when visiting. Best Time To Visit KICC Rooftop We recommend you go during the morning hours, say, before noon, as the crowds start to increase after that. Since there isn’t much space on the rooftop to spread out and take in the beauty of the city, go early in the day. Additionally, the KICC grounds are frequently rented out for various events. It might become very crowded. On a clear sunny day, you can see as far as Ngong Hills. KICC Rooftop Opening and Closing Time You will not need to make a reservation just show up during their open hours. KICC rooftop open hours are between 9 am and 8 pm on weekdays and 9 am and 6 pm on weekends including Sundays. KICC Contacts Email: info@kicc.

Drinks & Nightlife

Kenya’s capital city has a reputation for being larger than life and nowhere is that more evident than in its nightlife scene. After dark, locals, expats, and visitors mingle at venues that range from exclusive champagne bars to nightclubs that pulsate with the sounds of electrifying African beats. Music is a key ingredient for Kenyans wishing to let their hair down and you’ll find it here in every genre and setting imaginable. In particular, keep an ear out for genge, a strain of hip hop that originated in Nairobi.
