Sightseeing
Fort Christianvaern is itself a large-scale outdoor exhibit. The main structure together with the other historic buildings interpret the height of Danish occupation. You are welcome to tour the Fort with a self-guided brochure. The Steeple Building is also available for viewing. Since it is a National Park, there are entrance fees.
Buck Island tenders two sides of the same great coin: one of the world’s best beaches on one, and a prime snorkeling site on the other. Just 20 minutes by boat, the island represents just one percent of Buck Island Reef National Monument, a pie-shaped, (mostly) underwater park designed to protect the fragile coral reef and marine environment

If you want to make a trip to the west side of the island, Rainbow Beach is beautiful. While cruise ships are infrequent, check an online schedule and go on a day when a cruise ship is not docked in Fredericksted.
