The Driftwood is a local favorite, a restaurant and bar in Cannon Beach, only about 10 minutes away. Try the Baked Halibut or Tempura Prawns - both delicious!

Sweet Basil's Cafe is a tiny little restaurant and wine bar in North Cannon Beach, tucked away on a little wooden boardwalk. The food is great and the wine selection pleasing, but the best part is the live music on Friday nights from 6-9 PM, provided by local group Maggie and the Cats. They play a mix of blues, americana, and the joyful atmosphere can't be beat!

Astoria, Oregon is the oldest settlement west of the Rockies, and the end of the famous Lewis and Clark Trail. A nearly five mile riverwalk along the Columbia River takes from the west end mooring basin all the way to the east end mooring basin, all the amenenties of downtown in between. Historic architecture is just up the hill from the riverwalk with tidy neighborhoods and beautiful homes (check out the Flavel House.) Restaurants, breweries, and local shops are a great way to spend an afternoon. Catch the Astoria Sunday Market from 10:00 to 3:00 on Sundays for three blocks of local produce, crafts, and plenty of good eats!

Family friendly town with lots of shops and restaurants and the famous Seaside Turnaround (you can't go any further west without getting wet!) and a boardwalk along the beach front make for a fun way to spend a day at the beach!
