The Green Bean Coffee Company is an out of the way local favorite. Our favorite roast is the Sasquatch. Grab a cup to go and then head to Ward Lake for an easy walk/hike.

This local pub stays busy even after the tourists get back on the ship. I highly recommend their pink margarita and any of their pizzas. They have a good gluten free crust on their menu.

This is an awesome little grocery store. They have a good salad bar, deli, pastry counter, and a frozen yogurt bar. I still miss the Elleno’s Real Greek Lemon flavored Yogurt. I only have found it at Seattle Pike’s Place and the Ketchikan A & P.

Ward Lake was actually the site of a WW II Aleut Relocation Camp. Today it’s a wonderful place to take a stroll.
The bus system in Ketchikan goes right to this park. Here you will find nice walking paths that take you to some wonderful examples of totem poles. To be honest though, my favorite totem pole was recently erected in front of the local middle school on Schoenbar Rd.

Ok, this time I am sending you to the harbor. Bar Harbor South, you may run across the Time Bandit. In Thomas Basin you will often see the fishing vessels preparing for the next opening. At the end of the docks on Bar Harbor South you can occasionally see whales crossing through the Tongass Narrows.

Laundry services on the cruise ship too expensive? The Highliner is the only laundromat in Ketchikan. It used to have an amazing view ofBar Harbor South, but they renovated the building a few years ago to add dry cleaning services...nonetheless, you can go walk the harbor while you wait for the dryer!
