23 miles away, this is a spectacular place to visit. Cars can be parked at the head of this 3.5 mile long spit of land that’s only 50 yards wide. With the North Sea on one side and the river Humber on the other, it’s a very exposed nature reserve with a variety of wildlife, depending on the time of year.

Cognac, an authentic French restaurant on Chanterlands Avenue. Need to book in advance.
Da Gianni on Princes Avenue; highly rated Italian restaurant.
There are Moroccan, Indian, Persian, Greek restaurants as well as many bars also serving food on Princes Avenue.
Newland Avenue also has a wide choice of places to eat including Larkin’s Bar, Sleepers and Craft and Dough (reduced prices on Tuesday and Thursday).
Or if you just fancy Fish and Chips there’s The Friary - a 5 minute walk away. Bring them back, I’ve got plenty of salt and vinegar!
