Less than 3.5 miles from my home! This is a great place for guests to rent a boat, or to launch their own boat. At the Clemson Marina, there is a small restaurant, "The Grill at Clemson Marina". I highly recommend the quesadilla's. Please call before going as their hours vary after summertime.

This little deli is located in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Clemson. It's a great place to stop in for breakfast, or to pick up a sandwich for lunch. A plus is that they have a pretty large parking lot. Get there early because this place will have a line out the door during the weekends.

If you're looking for a restaurant that will surround you with that "local college" vibe, this is it. TD's is one of Clemson's most legendary bars. Its not only known for the college atmosphere, but the food is always good. I can't recommend this enough: TIGER FEVER WINGS! You will think about their tiger fever wing sauce at least a few times a week after trying it.

Yes, I know Mellow Mushroom is a chain but it's always great food with a fun and unique atmosphere.

If you're looking for good sushi or Japanese food in Clemson, this is the only place you should go. Don't bother with the chain restaurants. Sushi thoughts: Tokyo offers so many unique rolls that there is something for everyone - even those people who don't enjoy sushi (?? I'm definitely questioning those peoples choices in life). The sushi is always fresh and made to order. They will gladly customize any roll for you! Sushi Recs: Treasure Island, French Kiss, Crunch Love, Volcano Roll, and the Lady Gaga (I think that's the name of it, I'm going off of memory here. Its the most exciting sushi roll you'll eat. It has pop rocks inside of it!) Hibachi thoughts: Their ginger dressing and shrimp sauce are both AMAZING. I always ask for both on the side of my salad because I can't choose between the two. Now, onto the actual hibachi....Tokyo makes THE BEST fried rice around. However, I feel obligated to tell everyone that their "shrimp sauce", "white sauce", "yum yum sauce", or whatever you call it is not typical. If you didn't try their ginger dressing, you would think their shrimp sauce was ginger. It is loaded with ginger, but it's yummy. The best hibachi nearby!!

Walk around campus for a gorgeous scene. Clemson University is known for how beautiful the campus is and that feeling of "something in those hills". You have to feel (and see it) to believe it.

Stumphouse Tunnel is a must see when visiting Clemson. It's a historic landmark and park to explore. Essentially, the tunnel was supposed to connect major cities such as Charleston, Knoxville, and Cincinnati. The construction was never completed, so now it is a fun place to visit in the upstate! ATTENTION: If the gate is closed, park and walk through by foot (don't worry, you're not breaking any rules)! The gate is usually closed unless there is an event going on.

These are the restaurants that are near and dear to our hearts and belly's. We love these places!
This is the most nostalgic spot in Clemson, by far. The food is amazing, and the atmosphere compares to no other. If you're looking for good southern food, the meat and 3 is a MUST (not served on Saturdays). I'll let you in on a little secret that not a lot of people know about...you can get chicken fingers instead of the meats offered that specific day. The Esso Club has the BEST chicken fingers around. Don't miss out on this opportunity if you like chicken fingers. Esso Club also has really good chili. I recommend the nachos.

This is always my #1 choice to eat in Clemson. Everything here is amazing. If you're wanting a typical breakfast, I suggest The Appalachian. It comes standard with their "grit patty" which is sweet, but I always sub that for their cheese grits. The cheese grits are hands down the most delicious grits I've eaten...ever. I also suggest: Bearly Benedict - I'm never an eggs benedict person, but this one is a must try. It comes with a fried onion that changes every predetermination I've had of eggs benedict. Miami Breakfast Sub - I could eat this sandwich everyday. Just try it.

This is not only one of the oldest bars in Clemson, it is THE bar in Clemson. Anyone and everyone pops into Triple T's at some point during the adventure downtown Clemson. No, they don't have a signature drink, nor do they have very many drink specials. It's about the atmosphere and the representation that Triple T's has to offer Clemson. I'm not a huge fan of their food, but a lot of people love it so give it a try! For the college bar scene experience, go to Triple T's anytime after 10pm (it will be slam packed by midnight) Thursday-Saturday.

Skip Starbucks during your time in Clemson and you'll be glad that you did! This adorable coffee shop in the heart of downtown Clemson will not disappoint. The coffee is amazing (I recommend The Panda Bear) and so is all of the food! This place is great to just go sit with your family and friends to enjoy a cafe type environment, but it's also a one-stop-spot for someone who needs to get some work done.

There are a few Groucho's locations, but if you've never been don't miss your opportunity for a GREAT sandwich/sub. It may seem simple, but you won't find anything like it anywhere else. Recommendation: Apollo Dipper with Formula "45" sauce on the side (the sauce is legendary). If you want to spice things up a little, add bacon bits to your apollo dipper. You won't be sorry.

Lake Keowee is my primary place of work. It is so beautiful! During your time in Clemson you should check out this beautiful lake, even if it's only by car. Folks can rent a boat from the Lake Keowee Marina and check out some of the fun waterfalls. Cruising around admiring the homes will be very entertaining in itself!
