Beaches
In this category, I make some suggestions regarding the beaches of the island. I always mention when is better to visit (due to winds), the distance and if they have sunbeds and umbrellas.
When the weather is not too windy, you can visit Paraporti beach (one of the two beaches of Chora). You can go on foot or by car. At Paraporti beach, there is a beach bar ("The Rock"), where you can have your coffee or beer (sunbeds & umbrellas provided).

When the weather is windy but you are too tired to drive long distances, Niborio is the nearest beach to Chora, that you can visit. You can go on foot or by car and there are plenty of cafe, which provide sunbeds and umbrellas. One of them is the "Swell".

When the weather is windy, you can also visit the Piso Gialia beach. It is one of the two beaches of the Stenies village and you can go by car (or on foot if you are brave enough!). Please also bear in mind, that there are enough steps before arriving at the beach. The beach has a nice beach bar with sunbeds and umbrellas.

When the weather is windy, you can also visit the Piso Gialia beach. It is one of the two beaches of the Stenies village and you can go by car (or on foot if you are brave enough!). Please also bear in mind, that there are enough steps before arriving at the beach. The beach has a nice beach bar with sunbeds and umbrellas.
Gialia is the first beach that you find, when you arrive at Stenies village. It is a nice solution, when it is too windy and you are not willing to climb too many steps, in order to arrive at Piso Gialia beach. There is an excellent restaurant there, which provides sunbeds and umbrellas.

Close to Apothikes beach, there is a large and sαndy beach, which you can visit by car. The road is much better and only a few minutes of walk are required, to get to the beach. There is a nice beach bar with sunbeds and umbrellas.

You will not find sunbeds and umbrellas, but you can go for lunch / dinner to Kossis Tavern, after your swim. It is one of the best taverns of the island, if you like meat.

If you are in the mood for longer distances, you can visit Fellos beach. It is one of my favourite beaches. You can go only by car (or take the bus from Chora and then a taxi from Gavrio). You will not find sunbeds and umbrellas, but you can go for lunch / dinner to Kossis Tavern, after your swim. It is one of the best taverns of the island, if you like meat.
Zorgkos is a wonderful beach but requires time and mood for driving, since it is on the other side of the island. You will also have to cover an off road distance, so be prepared for a small adventure! Check the North winds before going and have your lunch or dinner at the small tavern, which is nearby.

It is located near Korthi, so you can organize a small excursion, as follows: Check the North winds, be prepared for a small off road distance and some off road walking (take the right shoes!). The landscape is wonderful, but the beach has no umbrellas or beach bar. After your swim, you can visit Korthi for your lunch / dinner or just a walk!

Tis Grias To Pidima
Another famous beach of Andros. It is located near Korthi, so you can organize a small excursion, as follows: Check the North winds, be prepared for a small off road distance and some off road walking (take the right shoes!). The landscape is wonderful, but the beach has no umbrellas or beach bar. After your swim, you can visit Korthi for your lunch / dinner or just a walk!
