Hedigan’s The Brian Boru is conveniently located close to Glasnevin Cemetery, Croke Park and the Botanical Gardens on the banks of The Royal Canal and is stepped in history. Not only does it derive its name from Brian Boru, High King of Ireland, who camped at the site with his army prior to his victorious Battle of Clontarf, fought on Good Friday 1014, but world renowned writer James Joyce mentions the pub in his tour de force Ulysses.

The most authentic Italian food in a family run restaurant My parents are from Casalattico, Italy (between Rome and Naples). They emigrated to Dublin in 1956 and in 1960 purchased 148 North Strand Road, for the princely sum of 4000 Irish pounds. My parents ran a Fish & Chip shop at the premises like many Italians in Dublin at the time. They ran a successful business there until 1975 and they leased it to another Italian family. I took over the premises in 2010 and wanted to open a ‘Sapori D Italia’ so Da Mimmo was born! We serve fresh home made Italian food daily from 10:30 – 11:00 pm Our specials board changes daily. Our 2 course lunch 8.50 euro is very popular. Da Mimmo was nominated for the Lovin’ Dublin ‘Best Restaurant’ catagory in November 2014. In December 2014 we celebrated 4 years in business. We are proud of our family food tradition at North Strand. We hope future generations of our family will be here serving you in years to come. See you in Da Mimmo soon!

We are a neighbourhood cafe located on the North Strand Road. Cloud Café was created in 2011 with a focus on catering events with healthy and nutritious dishes. Having worked in the restaurant and food industry for over two decades, the dream of opening up our own place was stronger than ever and in 2016 we got the opportunity to open the Cloud Cafe store. Our chefs are recent DIT Culinary Entrepreneur graduates who are passionate about serving simple, delicious food at an affordable price. All of our food at Cloud Cafe is created from scratch. We are extremely passionate about offering top quality food created at the highest standard. We love using locally sourced ingredients and we are working with the people from both the Mud Island Community Garden and the Pat Murphy Community Garden behind Cloud Cafe to source some of the vegetables and herbs that we use in our dishes. Check out their website for more information on the community garden that has become such a hub of the North Strand community.
