White City is the last remnant of Old Sandy that is currently hot in the real estate market. A lot of 1950s homes being bought up and renovated because of it's amazing location near both canyons, and the highway, and downtown, and the airport. The climate is relatively snow-free compared to just 30 minutes away where Alta has some of the biggest snowfalls yearly. In March and April you can ski the Greatest Snow on Earth and drive 20 minutes and see guys in shorts playing golf.

Rent a 4x4/AWD vehicle.
sure, its cheaper to get a small rear wheel drive, and sure there is not a ton of snow in the area until you get to the canyons, and snowbird is really only 10 miles away, how bad could it be? Well, for one they won't let you drive up either canyon without AWD/4X4 on a powder day and if you try they will turn you around. Two, if you do manage to get up the canyon before a big dump you have to drive down and sliding down into a ravine in LCC is not a great idea. Pay the extra money and get a 4x4.
