Food Scene

This is one of the best Thai food restaurants I have eaten in. Back in '64 the movie The Night of the Iguana directed by John Huston, featuring Richard Burton, Ava Gardner, and Deborah Kerr, was filmed in Puerto Vallarta. Archie was Hustons chef, in 1986 Archie opened his delicious restaurant. Archie passed away in '93, and now Sergio, his son keeps the tradition. In my opinion it is a must!

An 110-foot high structure, El Faro Lighthouse is Marina Vallarta’s primary landmark. Incredible 360 degree view of Puerto Vallarta. At the top is a circular cocktail lounge that is one of the area’s most romantic night spots. Each evening, live music or recorded jazz fill the lounge. At sunset, enjoy unparalleled panoramic views of the lighted city of Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay. Other than nuts and popcorn, no food is served. Drinks only.

Neighborhoods

Marina Vallarta is a bit like a resort within a resort with an exclusive Marina filled with yachts, boats, and charters, plus a championship 18-hole golf course designed by Joe Finger. It is located just 15 minutes from downtown Puerto Vallarta and around 5 minutes from the Puerto Vallarta International Airport, Lic. Gustavo Diaz Ordaz. The Marina area is more exclusive and a bit more expensive than other areas in Puerto Vallarta. It was built during the most active years of the city in the 1980's The Marina boardwalk offers lots of good shops, a great range from inexpensive restaurants to fancy elegant dining options, delis, a Starbucks, spas, cafés, bakeries, and ice-cream stores too, even a little supermarket.
