It really is a castle, and an interesting place to explore! Even if you don't pay the fee and go in, seeing it from the grounds is worth the time! This would be a good walking tour with Gov't House.

There is an old observatory up here... that ought to explain the expansive view of land and sky! This is a nice walk along the water, and would be a great day's outing with a picnic at Gonzales Beach!

This is a beautiful, SANDY BEACH! Great to bring lunch and lounge on the sand for the day. Couple with a walk up Gonzales Hill! Shops are a walk away on Fairfield & St Charles for refreshments.
