For a nice, swiss food experience not far from our place, visit Hardhof. Great meals, friendliest people, nice ambience. Not the cheapest restaurant in town but absolutely worth it.

Have a nice experience at Les Halles, a restaurant with a little in-house-store and lot's of little things to explore. It's noisy but charming and they are well known in town for their delicious "moules et frites".

Absolutely best Ramen Soup in town! Personal recommendation: Tantanmen (no kidding: it will be the best choice). It is small and always booked out, but they don't take reservations. Be early! It opens at 6pm.

Just a 5min walk from here (right next to the train station Zürich Hardbrücke) you find the little garden restaurant with a very urban atmosphere that is open during the summer months. They offer tasty burgers (meat or vegan), daily dishes, wraps, fish & chips, sausages and much more. All seasonal and local produced. All their sauces and dressings are vegan!

Zurich has lots of italians and lots of italian restaurant. One of my favourites is La Baracce. The kitchen is great, it is a small place and they pack it. I'd recommend to make a reservation by calling. In summer they also have tables outside.

It is a nice urban container-built garden restaurant/bar. It is nice for a drink, but then for food I highly recommend to go over to zum Gaul which is just next door. The food is better, and cheaper ;)

I love small and alternative places to go out for some good live or dancing music.
The small bar whose owner has the best taste in music in town. With a colorful mix of an audience, live music on Thursdays and fine DJs on the weekends, playing a wide range of funk, soul, surf, rhythm'n'blues, rockabilly, and more. Not just for drinking but also for dancing.
