The jewel of Montreal’s city parks is, without question, Mount Royal. This 200-hectare park occupies part of the mountain that lies in the midst of Montreal island, and includes the highest spot in the city (234m).Mount Royal is where Montrealers go to get a breath of air on a hot day, to cross-country ski without leaving the city, to walk , to picnic, to jog, to ice skate, to look out over the city.A trail from the Cartier monument on the Park Avenue side (bus 80/435 or 129) winds gradually upward toward the top. Or go to Mont-Royal metro station and take the 11 bus. You can also drive up via Côte-des-Neiges and the Voie Camillien-Houde: there are various parking lots off the road.

Sightseeing

The square was built here by the city in the first half of the 19th century, but this initiative was simply an acknowledgement of a much older reality. As archaeologists have found, people have gathered at this site for generations. It has always been one of the most popular spots in Montréal! Place Jacques-Cartier is a square located in Old Montreal in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and an entrance to the Old Port of Montreal. During the high tourist season, the street hosts many street artists and kiosks

Notre-Dame Basilica (French: Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal) is a basilica in the historic district of Old Montreal. The church is located at 110 Notre-Dame Street West, at the corner of Saint Sulpice Street. It is located next to the Saint-Sulpice Seminary and faces the Place d'Armes square. Built in the Gothic Revival style, the church is highly decorated. The vaults are coloured deep blue and decorated with golden stars, and the rest of the sanctuary is decorated in blues, azures, reds, purples, silver, and gold. . Unusual for a church, the stained glass windows along the walls of the sanctuary do not depict biblical scenes, but rather scenes from the religious history of Montreal.
