If you are willing to get an early start in the summer (very popular spot) and make beach camp by 10AM, Baldwin Beach is one of the largest and most beautiful beaches on Lake Tahoe and is about 15 minutes from our chalet.

Ski Resort

Though a bit of a drive (30 minutes +/-), the drive to Kirkwood itself is spectacular! Great family resort but with very few dining options. Pack lunch and snacks!

Food scene

Very “Plain Jane” bar and grill, but so fun watching planes come and go with very reasonable bar prices and some of the best bar food, ever! Excellent clam chowder, huge nachos, very good tacos, beef dip and onion rings!
