Texas has great state parks. I would avoid them in from mid July until the end of August unless you are uber hearty, or have lots of water and plan a shaded trip. Texas is HOT in the Summer time. You ain't gonna get this up in town... Try a little authentic Jamaican while your staying in the Southside of Houston. Great ratings.
