Sightseeing

This is a great beach for tide pools when the tide is low (check Monterey Bay tides here: http://www.tides4fishing.com/us/california/santa-cruz-monterey-bay#_tides). Also, Monarch Butterflies nest here in winter as part of their migration from British Columbia to Mexico. And, it's a great beach in summer with easy parking (State Park fee at the gate: but, if you've paid for Henry Cowell or Big Basin: the pass allows you in the same day at any other state park).
