You can stop by the Hon-Dah Convenience Store on the way, and pick up an $8 fishing day-license. It's a beautiful drive with wild horses, cattle, etc. Pro tip - drive all the way around, past the campgrounds to find a quiet spot on the other side of the lake away from the campers.

The new site is being built directly behind the existing Nature Center with a beautiful view of the Big Springs Meadow and surrounding forest. It was designed by WDM Architects of Wichita, KS, the designers of the Phoenix Zoo’s new amphitheater and animal enclosures. They are world renowned for building animal enclosures that provide animals with challenges, choices, and control over their environment. It is expected to be a tremendous asset for the entire White Mountain Community for bird shows, nature presentations and many other community events.

We have reopened the old barns and converted one of them into a rustic outdoor bar and patio with private sitting areas. Where the old home used to reside is now the location of a large outdoor dance floor and horseshoe pits. It is all surrounded by large heavy shade trees and a quaint apple orchard.
