There is often music, dancing, skating and random merriment going on. One of the best farmers markets happens only blocks away on Saturdays. Lots of delicious eats and places to get a drink on all sides.

If you're feeling extra inspired you can continue over the foot bridge and run along the bay trail to the Berkeley Marina or the Emeryville Marina.
