Great location - live music (check schedule), with decent food. The sangria is house made and so yummy! If the restaurant is full, just bring your own wine and appetizers and sit by the river, enjoying the music!

The original location! A short drive from the Casita - great outdoor seating space. And there's a couple breweries on Chinden along the way. If you haven't tried their cider - order a flight and sample a few. They are awesome!

Sightseeing

Beautiful view of the city - especially magical at sunset. Also a great starting point to over 140 miles of trails. Watch the sunset then walk over to Hyde's Park for dinner, drink or ice cream. You do NOT need to drive to Camel's Back - just cross the whitewater park, find State St., travel north till you cross Harrison and keep going to 13th. You are only about 1.5 miles away - it's a great walk through very interesting neighborhoods. You'll zip over there in five minutes on a bike or scooter.

See instructions on how to get here very easily by walking, biking or scooter - enjoy a cocktail, beer, dinner or ice cream. This is a neighborhood restaurant district (not a green space park). Don't miss it!

The green belt runs right by the Casita - you can take it to downtown or take it toward Eagle. It's a lovely walk, bike ride or scooter ride! The greenbelt goes right to BSU, the zoo, rose gardens, etc...about a five minute bike ride.

Cómo moverse

Scooters, Bikes

Scooters are everywhere! If you don't find any on the greenbelt right by the Casita, just cross Chinden (one block from Casita) and there's usually some there. You truly don't need a car in this area of Boise if you are comfortable walking, biking or scootering.
Qué empacar

Bike helmet

I always recommend bringing your bike helmet....it will come in handy for bike and scooter rental (or mountain biking). You can rent mountain bikes for the day too! Try Joycycle in Hyde's Park.

Raft the Payette

Whitewater raft - class Iv and class V - so, so fun!! It's only about 30 minutes outside Boise. Adventurers will love it!!

Float the Boise River

It's a lovely, easy float! You can rent rafts at Barber Park and the shuttle will bring you back for your car. It takes a little over an hour - bring a hat, a drink if you like, and enjoy the afternoon!! You can bring a rope if you want to tie several rafts together. Life jackets are usually available from the raft rental. Check online for more details.
