Egton Bridge. The nearest villages are Glaisdale and Grosmont bith with a local village store, well stocked with produce or Whitby 15 mine away by car.

Egton Bridge is a picturesque village set on the banks of the River Esk. From this fantastic location on the edge of the North York Moors National Park you will be spoilt for things to do and see... It is situated in a steep sided valley in one of England's most famous Roman Catholic parishes and was the birthplace of Father Nicholas Postgate - ' Martyr of the Moors' . There are two sets of stepping stones which cross the river which are well worth a look at. To get to these just go to the left of the Old Mill which is directly to the left of the cottage.
Goathland village famous in the past for being the main setting for the popular television series "Heartbeat" and the station was used to represent Hogwarts station in one of the Harry Potter films. The 70ft high Mallyan Spout waterfall there can be reached by a footpath close to the Mallyan Spout Hotel which offers the opportunity for a pleasant walk.
