Surfing

Woolacombe is an award winning beach, three miles of golden sands and crystal clear waters. With many activities to enjoy including surfing, paragliding or riding. It’s a great family friendly beach where you can happily stroll along the sand, get stuck in building sand castles, chill with an ice cream or swim through the waves. A fun place for all. We normally park on Marine Drive and visit the Porthole Cafe. If you walk down the footpaths through the dunes you can get to parts of the beach that are much quieter. Combesgate Beach is just around the coast and the waves can be smaller.

A fabulous little pebble beach to play with young ones. At low tide the sandy beach extends to the next bay. There's a little river that runs through the beach, caves for exploring and rocks for climbing.
