We are so lucky to have so many options for such a small town. Most business are on the main drag, Dunsmuir Ave, or just off it. Grind, Moose & Tarbells - coffee. I frequent the Grind the most often but it isn't a place to really sit down and chat. The Moose and Tarbells are better venues for conversation, book reading and contemplation. Waverley : Pub food and many-beer-on tap options. This is where most of the live music takes place. Wednesday is burger night. Cumberland Brewing Company: The CBC is one of the town's many gems. Most of the seating is outside so come prepared. There is heating, however, layers are always a safe bet. They have good tapas too. Kids welcome. Cooks: Apparently the burgers are AMAZING but I have yet to go. Riders Pizza: The pizzas are creative and unique. If you eat there they are served on bike wheels. If you are not feeling like pizza their other dishes are really good too. They have many beers on tap too. 4quarters: I have only been there a couple of times and I have really enjoyed it. New Creek Cafe (Chinese) : It isn't noteworthy although the Wor Wonton soup is pretty satisfying. That is the only thing I can recommend at this point. Bibliotaco: This used to be the old library... hence the name. I think it is a great place to get “Mexican” food. Grocery Stores Mini-Mart - It is quite comprehensive according to my partner, Darren. Seeds – It is the organic whole foods store. Cumberland Bakery – Try everything! I am a fan of the croissants with a variety of fillings. And there chocolate glazed donuts.... Tim Horton's doesn't even compare. Butcher – They are a new business and I have only been pleased with their fare. It is the cheapest place to buy eggs and they strive to offer local, happy meat.
