“Only 45 mins from us, really good food at the Gas Station before you enter the park. Our entrance is closed during the winter so expect 6+ hour drive if you want to visit during the winter months. ”

“Drive out Glacier Point Road from the Yosemite Cabin. We recommend stopping at Taft Point for the 1-mile, low-angle hike out to the most stunning views of El Capitan and other special features in the Valley. Not many tourists do this! ”

“The only proper grocery store located in Yosemite is in the Yosemite Village. They have everything you could want/need - but it's slightly more pricey than if you stop at VONS in Oakhurst or the grocery store in Mariposa on your way into Yosemite. ”

“If you're feeling like an adventurous day trip, it is possible to do one day trip to the Yosemite National Parks!! Each one way is about 4hrs non-stop. Otherwise you can camp here or choose one of the glamping options that the park has to offer. Each vehicle is charged $35 for one entry or $85 for all national park visit. If you do go here, make sure your first stop is the visitor's office, the rangers here are well versed in all the hikes here and can best cater your experience to your needs. On top of that, they're the most well-informed people you'd find here regarding park and road conditions. Yosemite is well known for the: - Half Dome - Hetchy Hetchy reservoir - Tuolumme Meadows”

“When it's hot and crowded in the Yosemite Valley, we head to Tuoloumne Meadows to hike, climb, walk and enjoy the cooler temperatures and smaller crowds. There are beautiful granite domes all through Tuoloumne, which makes the drive stunning... even if you don't get out of your car. ”

“Hike 2.2 miles/3.5 km round trip: Sentinel Dome is at the upper end of the easy category, due to the short but steep foray up the side of the dome to the summit. Once there, though, you'll find 360 degrees of view encompassing Yosemite Valley, the high Sierras, and (on unusually clear days) the coastal range. ”

“Half Dome is an iconic Yosemite feature. It is best seen either from Glacier Point (drive out Glacier Point Road, which is close to the Yosemite Cabin) and enjoy the unique view of Half Dome's profile and back side. You can also take the trail to Mirror Lake from Curry Village and enjoy the view of Half Dome from its base. Another cool/adventurous option is to take the Snow Creek Trail (a super steep, windy trail) and get some of the best head-on views of Yosemite from across its canyon. ”
