“Definitely a must do during your visit. If you are here for a few days, this is a great rainy day option. The cost is a 'gold coin donation', they do have special exhibits on and these may cost extra. This is a full days visit and there is something for everyone! ”

“It is an operating cinema if you up for watching movies, but we like it for a slightly different reason. It is also a time travel back to the 50's, with movie memorabilia on display and a very nice restaurant, Coco, what is unmissable if you are travelling to the Miramar peninsula.”

“The iconic Westpac Stadium, known locally as the 'cake tin', hosts sporting events, music concerts and shows through out the year. Catch the train from Paraparaumu to save the parking hassles, and the stadium is just a short walk from the north end of the platform!”

“Dog-friendly beer bar just off Glover Park. Good selection of beers. Good bar fare if you're hungry - pizzas, sandwiches, and curly fries (with cheese and gravy!). Cheap tacos on Tuesdays and wings on Wednesdays, and free live music throughout the week. Great on a sunny afternoon when you can take your beer and food into the park and enjoy on a beanbag. Dog friendly!”
