Definitivamente volveremos a visitar :)

Breathtaking cliff top walks, wander across beautiful beaches, come home to a roaring log fire, cozy up and watch a classic movie with a glass of wine!

Definitivamente volvería a reservar.

    Claire2019-07-31T00:00:00Z

The Beach House Studio, is in the perfect private location next to the Beach, it's a 2 minute walk to a surf spot, or to a great pub or one of the 2 cafes where you can enjoy the sun going down on the Atlantic coastline. The Room has an amazing view and you can hear and smell the salty sea. The owners live next door but do not intrude on your space or privacy Stuart is a teacher and an artist, and Selina who has an eye for detail and style, works locally.
The Beach House studio is a self contained studio room (self catering )with private access and (URL HIDDEN) is in an elevated position overlooking Crackington Haven Beach, with sea views from every window that are breath taking. Crackington Haven is an area of outstanding natural beauty nestled between 2 stunning coast paths.

Definitivamente volveríamos a reservar.

    Gemma2019-11-10T00:00:00Z

The cabin is cosy and equipped, ideal for a romantic break away for two. *please note we are based on a working farm with some farm machinery, animals and sometimes work on the farm being done.* For an extra touch of luxury, you can even book a pampering massage or facial treatment to leave you rejuvenated and totally relaxed. I am a qualified massage therapist and set up spa parties within the cabin on a part time basis. For a discounted price, you can treat yourself or a loved one to a treatment within the cabin. Please enquire in advance. We can also set up a vintage style Cream tea for two. For just £4 per person you can treat yourself to a homemade scone, Cornish clotted cream and locally homemade jam, and of course, a 'proper' Cornish pot of tea. All of this will be laid out with vintage tea cups and traditional china. Please enquire in advance.

My place, a perfect base for exploring North Cornwall just off the A39 is close to Bodmin Moor, the Camel Trail for cycling, the North Devon and Cornwall sections of the South West Coastal Path for hiking and Surfing Beaches like Polzeath and Bude. Easy access to famous locations from television like Port Isaac and Jamaica Inn. There are loads of amazing small farm shops and tea rooms as well as larger destinations like Padstow near by with Rick Steins fish and chips.
The accommodation comprises one double bedroom, a lounge/dinner with freeview television and wifi. A fully equipped newly fitted kitchen with dishwasher. A brand new shower room with underfloor heating. The garden is large and enclosed with patio table and chairs. There is a driveway for off road parking and access to our field for guests with dogs. Also free eggs from our pet chickens (as pictured), and a cream tea on arrival, with enough milk, sugar and teabags to get you started. You'll love my place because of the amazing views up to Rough Tor, the easy access to the whole of North Cornwall and the enclosed garden suitable for dogs. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (pets).
The immediate neighbourhood is a small hamlet of around 10 houses and farms, and although the A39 runs through it, the area is very rural and surrounded be fields. Davidstow with its famous creamery is one mile to the east and Camelford with its free parking, shops, pubs and petrol station three miles to the west. Rough Tor is five miles away, the turning is on the left on the way to Camelford, Hilltop Cafe/Farm shop is two miles away, the turning is on the right on the way to Camelford.

No decepcionó.

This is a superb, single level stone cottage which was converted from stabling in 2003 and is a delightful property over looking the old farm yard, here you have a wonderful base for an exploratory adventure into the varieties of Cornish life. To the north is Widemouth bay and the bustling tourist town of Bude while to the west is the stunning and infamous village Boscastle, nestled in a steep valley where the river has cut a course through the steep cliffs to the sea. There are secluded coves, majestic views, wildlife and even a blowhole. The property is located 5 miles from Crackington Haven, which is included in the best surfing beaches in England and was recommended by the Marine Conservation Society in its Good Beach Guide. The scenery in the beach area of the surrounding majestic cliffs is almost unrivalled. At high tide, the beach is a mass of quartz-veined pebbles and large boulders but at low tide, it reveals an expanse of sand and many rock pools. Only the road separates the sea from a couple of beach shops, two superb beach cafes and a public house with a restaurant and a fantastic terrace.Tintagel exudes charm and medieval history with Arthurian legend as the birthplace of King Arthur, Tintagel Island is reached via a narrow footpath and there is now a magnificent new footbridge which links the island to the mainland and means the walk to the castle is significantly easier. The cliffs around Tintagel are all Devonian Slate and the sands at the foot of the cliffs turn the sea a bright turquoise in strong sunlight, a truly beautiful sight. Tintagel is a delightful holiday village with many tourist shops and cafés, pubs and restaurants.Fifteen minutes up the coast is Bude, a popular tourist destination for both its surfing and fantastic family beaches in Widemouth Bay. The watchful eye of the RNLI lifeguards allows for some of the best surfing in the world alongside swimming and a whole host of water-based activities. Bude today is a lovely sea-side town, the main shopping streets and inter-connecting alleyways play host to a wide range of locally-owned shops, restaurants and pubs. There are boutiques, shoes, arts & crafts, jewellery, hand-made gifts and souvenirs.A few miles inland is Bodmin Moor, one of Cornwall's designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Cornwall at its wildest and rich in ancient history, Bodmin Moor stretches for 30 miles through the heart of the County of Cornwall and offers spectacular walking and horse riding. With easy access to both the A30 and the Atlantic Highway you can quickly travel up and down the South-West to enjoy some of the larger tourist attractions that Devon and Cornwall have to offer. To the west lies the stunning and infamous village of Boscastle, it is a tiny port set in a narrow ravine, the town came into prominence recently as a result of terrible floods in the summer of 2004. In the village, there is a pottery, a museum of witchcraft and several gift shops. A footpath to the left of the quayside will take you to the 'Lookout' which is a wonderful vantage point from which to view the rugged coastline. Boscastle was once a favourite meeting place of the author Thomas Hardy, and is the location for one of his novels 'A Pair of Blue Eyes'. Boat trips can be taken from the harbour as far as Long Island, where during the breeding season you may see razorbills, puffins & guillemots. There is a demanding 7-mile coastal path walk between Boscastle and Crackington Haven. There are several attractions along this stretch of coast including Strangles beach at the bottom of a large landslip with a rock arch the Northern Door. Just south of here is High Cliff which is the highest point on the Cornish coast path. Don't forget to visit Pentargon inlet which has an imposing waterfall that cascades down to the sea below.Trethevy is a delightful hamlet, equidistant from Boscastle and Tintagel and has a history which may well go back to 250 AD when a granite post was inscribed with C DOMI N GALLO ET VOLUS – ‘For the Emperor Caesars our lords Gallus and Volusian' this can now be found outside St Piran a former monastery and now private residence, Trethevy is also home to St Nectans Glen a beautiful valley where the River Trevillet has carved its way through the slate and formed a beautiful 60' waterfall. On Bodmin Moor, Dozmary pond is thought to contain Arthur's Excalibur, and Merlin is thought to be still found walking under Tintagel Island. Camelford is a great centre for touring, walking, fishing, swimming or surfing holidays. The town is steeped in history and has excellent shopping and sporting facilities. Port Isaac is the location of the televisions series Poldark and more recently Doc Martin, as well as being a gorgeous working fishing village. Bodmin Jail built in 1778, notorious for its public executions by hanging, was the first jail to be built housing inmates in individual cells. The Jail closed in 1927 and is now a museum open to the public, which during the First World War housed the Crown Jewels and the Doomsday Book. The famous Camel Trail follows the route of the old railway along traffic-free paths for 18 miles, providing the whole family with a fairly flat cycle through Bodmin and Wadebridge, and out to Padstow where you can sample Rick Stein's famous Fish and Chips. The market town of Launceston is the capital of Cornwall and well worth a visit to see the church of St Mary Magdelene, with granite carvings, unusual among Cornish churches.

A 20-minute walk to the coast leads to Millook Cove, a dog-friendly beach all year that consists mainly of boulders and coarse shingle, this is not really a bathing beach but is a favourite for experienced surfers, there is no RNLI lifeguard cover.Widemouth Bay, just to the north, is a varied and interesting beach with a long open bay. At the northerly end of Widemouth, there is a large sandy area that becomes more exposed as the tide drops and to either side of this, the sand gives way to some fantastic rock formations. The beach is ideal for families, whether you wish to swim, sunbathe, surf or hunt for marine life in the hundreds of rock pools. Lifeguards are present during the season. These are some of the best beaches in Cornwall so don't miss the chance to try your surfing or 'boogie' boarding skills. There are a number of surf schools in the area. For Walkers and cyclists, the area is full of superb routes and Bude lies at the centre of the most dramatic stretch of the South West coastal footpath. There are numerous local villages and landmarks to explore and much of the area is a nature lovers paradise. Bude is only a couple of minutes down the road and has the full range of facilities that one would expect of a small town including a wide range of shops, pubs & restaurant.Just up the coast is Bude which is possibly more diverse than any other holiday destination in Cornwall. Most major villages, towns and attractions are within an hour's drive; and because Bude sits on the county border, visitors are free to explore the delights of both Devon and Cornwall at their leisure. Look past the eight main beaches and many smaller hidden coves and you soon see there really is something for everyone. In the centre of Bude, there is a huge, sandy beach which is a favourite with children and adults alike, there is an outdoor sea pool, pretty canal, golf course, splash pool and tennis courts. Bude is Cornwall's most northern town and has been a favourite seaside resort since Victorian times. The coastal scenery surrounding the beaches is quite beautiful, boasting some of the finest sandy beaches and the best surfing in England! The town has excellent facilities and a wide selection of interesting, independent shops. This idyllic area has a large amount of birdlife for the dedicated twitcher and some wonderful, scenic walks along the South West coastal path. The centre of Bude is a lively hub with concerts, dances and fetes as well as other events throughout the season, including an annual Carnival Week. The town has a host of pubs, cafes and restaurants to suit every palate and there is a new Visitors Centre in the Crescent car park, a large children's play area, a 19th-century canal and a small wharf amongst many other attractions. Bude is also home to the internationally acclaimed jazz festival which takes place each August.Further along the coast is Sandymouth Beach, a large beach ideal for families due to its lovely sand, rock pools and tea rooms. A short drive north over the border into Devon leads to the quaint village of Hartland with its very own shipwreck! Also well worth a visit is the world-famous fishing village of Clovelly. The cobbled, traffic-free, high street is built into a cleft in a 400' high cliff and tumbles its way down past whitewashed cottages festooned with flowers to the tiny working port.Further West down the A39 will lead you to Boscastle, Crackington Haven, Tintagel and on down to Rock, Padstow and Wadebridge all with their own fascinating histories, endless beaches, magnificent promontories, secluded coves and pubs and restaurants full of character and fine local cuisine - this part of Cornwall will rapidly become one of your favourite holiday destinations.

The Weekender is a contemporary space,38sqm with stunning views all round step through the door and relax. The decor is stylish, comfortable, a beautiful haven to sit and contemplate the breathtaking surroundings from. Described by a recent guest as "The most beautiful small space they'd ever stayed in" It can be difficult to do anything here other than unwind. But if you can drag yourself away from this little gem it's a great place to explore North Cornwall's diverse delights from.
The Weekender really is a delight, tucked away with views that will take your breath away. My clever husband built this little beauty last year and it evolved into something unique. With our skills and experience in various design projects we have created something we feel is very special. The interior is both cosy but spacious and is filled with lovely finishes that give a high quality and a fabulous feel. It is a very romantic hideaway - ideal for couples. It can be hard to leave to explore the area as it is possible to just sit for hours and and enjoy the space.
Crackington Haven lies in the Parish of St Gennys in North Cornwall. It is a wonderful escape from the hectic side of life. If you don't feel like venturing too far then there are wonderful short and long walks right outside the door. The Weekender sits right on the Southwest coast path - arguably - on one of the most beautiful and dramatic parts of the coast both North and South right here. Crackington has 2 cafes and a good pub - eat and drink overloooking the beautiful beach and giant cliffs. There is a good local shop / PO and a garage just 3 miles from here where you can purchase most things to keep you going! Bude is just 10 miles from The Weekender which is a lovely seaside town with some good shops to wander around and plenty of cafes. Boscastle and Tintagel are approx 6/7 miles south of Crackington offering picturesque harbours, castles and villages. Port Isaac (Port Wenn) is approx 40 mins drive where the popular Doc Martin is filmed - you can wander the tiny streets and recognise your favourite bits! Padstow and Rock are fairly close by with Rick Stein's delicious Fish and chips being the first port of call especially if you've cycled the Camel Trail from Wadebridge or beyond. Further afield are many places to explore The Eden project is about an hours drive and well worth a visit. Closer to home on the edge of Bodmin Moor are Roughtor and Brown Willy- 2 fabulous walks / scrambles with beautiful granite features to admire. Roughtor car park is just a 25 min drive from The Weekender it can be hard to tear yourself away but it's definitely worth the effort.

In a quite beautiful and peaceful spot, close to some of the most spectacular sections of Cornwalls north coast, The Old Cider House is a luxurious conversion providing spacious accommodation for a couple with the added advantage of a lovely private garden.
Located next door to the owner's farmhouse, this delightful conversion has just been completed and offers a truly peaceful place to stay in the North Cornwall area. It is a real treat for couples seeking romantic heaven. A spacious living room is made extra cosy by a traditional log burner sitting in the large inglenook fireplace and the sumptuous leather sofas. Upstairs the beautifully presented bedroom has french windows opening to a charming Juliet balcony from which guests will be treated to bird song from the neighbouring orchard. Outside you can enjoy a morning coffee on the patio or sunbathe in the private south facing garden. The Old Cider House is definitely a place to relax, unwind and revive the spirits. This stunning part of north Cornwall will delight visitors seeking an area of historical interest, beautiful scenery, spectacular walks and a warm Cornish welcome. The famous villages of Boscastle and Port Isaac are both within a short drive and there is nowhere more historic in Cornwall than Tintagel for those fascinated by Arthurian legends. Sandy beaches at Crackington and nearby Widemouth Bay are both great for surfing, but if you fancy a great escape, try the Strangles beach, often quiet even in the height of summer because of a steep path down the cliff. This area is a walker's paradise with some of the most dramatic (and challenging) sections of the south west coastal path from Port Isaac all the way up to Widemouth. Alternatively the wilds of Bodmin Moor are not too distant where you can scale the famous tors of Roughtor or Cornwall's highest point, Brown Willy.AccommodationGround Floor: The beautiful stable door opens into the spacious living room with leather sofas, inglenook fireplace and dining table with lovely wood flooring. A fully fitted kitchen looks out over the garden and the rolling fields beyond.First Floor: Upstairs is the delightful double bedroom with 5' double bed, pastel bed linen and large wardrobes. Between Bodmin and Bude, Crackington Haven lies a few miles from Boscastle and boasts a spectacular beach with some of the best surf in the county. A popular pub, a couple of charming tea rooms and a lovely woodland and coastal walk are also excellent reasons for a visit. Crackington Haven is on one of the most dramatic stretches of coastline in North Cornwall. The village itself is located in a very narrow valley with steep sides leading to a beach where beautiful sand is exposed at low tide. The beach is popular with surfers and the surrounding coastline is a huge draw for walkers. The cliffs are not only dramatic, but are also geologically fascinating. Immediately north of the beach is Pencarrow Point and a few hundred yards south is Cambeak headland. One mile south of Crackington Haven, High Cliff rises to 735 feet (224 m) with a sheer drop to the rocky foreshore. The surrounding area has beautiful countryside and nearby Bude has a full range of shops, pubs & restaurants. There are a whole range of beaches within a few miles drive along the coast as well. The landscape rises dramatically to the south onto the moors with more superb walking to be had - it really is a lovely place to visit and explore!Boscastle is one of the most picturesque villages in Cornwall, with a tiny natural port and coastal paths passing through superb unspoilt countryside, much of it owned by the National Trust. Browse the shops and enjoy some refreshment at one of many charming cafes in the village. Boscastle, situated on rugged North Coast of Cornwall, has an incredibly picturesque tiny natural port. Once a thriving port at the base of a ravine serving North Cornwall, the village now survives on its tourism industry. Unfortunately, the disastrous floods of 2004 damaged some historic properties, but Boscastle is most definitely up and running again now. The Witchcraft Museum, which re-opened in 2005, houses an extensive collection of related artefacts including a Dutch collection donated to the museum in 2000. There are many gift shops and cafe's in the village, as well as a pottery, with amazing coastal walks and views to each side of the valley. On the north side of the harbour at Penally Point is a natural blow hole, which at low tides with enough swell sends plumes of water high into the air. There is a fabulous 7 mile walk between Boscastle and Crackington Haven which is extremely popular, although it is quite a testing length of coastline. Many sites of interest surround Boscastle with lots to explore. Nearby Tintagel and a ruined castle heralds myths of King Arthur, with Camelford rumoured to be Camelot of old.Widemouth Bay is a varied and interesting beach with a long open bay. At the northerly end of Widemouth there is a large sandy area that becomes more exposed as the tide drops and to either side of this the sand gives way to some fantastic rock formations. The beach is ideal for families, whether you wish to swim, sunbathe, surf or hunt for marine life in the hundreds of rock pools. Lifeguards are present during the season. These are some of the best beaches in Cornwall so don't miss the chance to try your surfing or 'boogie' boarding skils. There are a number of surf schools in the area. For Walkers and Cyclists the area is full of superb routes and Bude lies at the centre of the most dramatic stretch of the South West coastal footpath. There are numerous local villages and landmarks to explore and much of the area ia a nature lovers paradise.Bude is a popular resort for families and surfers, boasting spectacular sandy beaches and some of the best waves in the county. The town, located close to the border with Devon, is filled with shops, restaurants, pubs and even a local theatre. Bude is Cornwall's most northern town and has been a favourite seaside resort since Victorian times. The coastal scenery surrounding the beaches of Bude are quite beautiful. There is a huge amount of bird life for the dedicated twitcher and some wonderful walks along the cliff tops. Along the coast is Sandy Mouth which is ideal for families due to its lovely sand and numerous rock pools. Morwenstow, which is a little further towards Devon is just south of Henna Cliff. The cliff is the highest in Cornwall and has a sheer drop down to the sea. From here you can see across to South Wales. The centre of Bude has a theatre, concerts, dances and fetes, as well as other events throughout the season. There is a new Visitors Centre in the Crescent car park which has an extensive display by the North Cornwall Heritage Coast and Countryside Service including a children's area. There is a weekly Cornish Furry Dance and an annual Carnival Week. Bude is also home to a popular jazz festival which takes place every year in August.

This is a superb base for an exploratory adventure into the different varieties of Cornish life. A short drive from the beach at Crackington Haven or Widemouth Bay, the bustling tourist town of Bude, stunning and infamous Boscastle or the mystery of Bodmin Moor. And all while based in an open plan barn conversion which provides fabulous value for money. Dog friendly with garden.
A bright and spacious open plan living area welcomes you in and both bedrooms are tastefully decorated and enhance the ambience. There are French doors that lead out onto a secluded patio garden, a perfect spot to soak up the Cornish air and sunshine, read a book or enjoy your favourite tipple. Also on this small working farm is a well-stocked carp lake, a children's play area and the opportunity to feed Boris and Donald - the farm's friendly, rare, small breed Kunekune domestic pigs from New Zealand. Other properties at Great Trevillian farm include Tizzy Barn (sleep 6), Trebethis (sleep 8), Mowhay Barn (sleep 6) and Ash Cottage (sleep 2). Honeysuckle Cottage is wonderfully located a few miles inland from Crackington Haven which has pebbles and rock pools at the top of the beach but as the tide goes out a vast expanse of golden sand is exposed with some of the best surf on the north coast. Tintagel is 8 miles away and boasts a magnificent new footbridge to reach the castle on a single level and has made the journey to the headland significantly easier. Accommodation Ground Floor only: Enter into the open plan living/kitchen and dining area, dining table and chairs, fitted units, comfortable seating, TV and DVD player. Only the road separates the sea from a couple of beach shops, two superb beach cafes and a public house with a restaurant and a fantastic terrace. Tintagel exudes charm and medieval history with Arthurian legend as the birthplace of King Arthur, Tintagel Island is reached via a narrow footpath and there is now a magnificent new footbridge which links the island to the mainland and means the walk to the castle is significantly easier. The cliffs around Tintagel are all Devonian Slate and the sands at the foot of the cliffs turn the sea a bright turquoise in strong sunlight, a truly beautiful sight. Tintagel is a delightful holiday village with many tourist shops and cafés, pubs and restaurants. Fifteen minutes up the coast is Bude, a popular tourist destination for both its surfing and fantastic family beaches in Widemouth Bay. There are boutiques, shoes, arts & crafts, jewellery, hand-made gifts and souvenirs. A few miles inland is Bodmin Moor, one of Cornwall's designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Don't forget to visit Pentargon inlet which has an imposing waterfall that cascades down to the sea below. Trethevy is a delightful hamlet, equidistant from Boscastle and Tintagel and has a history which may well go back to 250 AD when a granite post was inscribed with C DOMI N GALLO ET VOLUS – ‘For the Emperor Caesars our lords Gallus and Volusian’ this can now be found outside St Piran a former monastery and now private residence, Trethevy is also home to St Nectans Glen a beautiful valley where the River Trevillet has carved its way through the slate and formed a beautiful 60' waterfall.

Only the road separates the sea from a couple of beach shops, two superb beach cafes and a public house with a restaurant and fantastic terrace. The cottage is located in the parish of St. Gennys, which prides itself on the excellence of its public paths with the National Trust owning most of the cliff and adjacent farmland. As you travel down the coastline, you can visit quaint coastal villages such as Boscastle, Tintagel and Port Isaac, the latter offering a range of fantastic restaurants where you can enjoy the freshest and most delicious fish.Twenty minutes up the coast is Bude, a popular tourist destination for both its surfing and fantastic family beaches in Widemouth Bay. There’s something magical about cosying up as a family and watching a log burner flicker after a busy day. Cranny Cottage is perfect for those of you looking to escape the hustle and bustle and just embrace Cornwall living. Set on the beautiful East Thorne resort not far from sandy Bude, this home from home manages to blend contemporary living with a laidback feel. Step into the open plan living space and you’ll feel a world away from home. There’s space aplenty for the kids to put their feet up after a busy day of adventuring, and the kitchen’s spacious enough to inspire even the most reluctant of chefs! Play your favourite playlists via the Bluetooth sound system, and when it’s time to call it a night, two welcoming bedrooms await upstairs. One of the best things about East Thorne is that there’s plenty to keep you entertained on those days when you feel like staying close to your cottage. The volleyball net will keep the kids busy for hours on end, and the games room means they can let off steam and make new friends whatever the weather. There’s a shared garden (perfect for a snooze on the grass while the sun kisses your skin) and the shared campfire gives a sense of adventure to every visitor. There’s nothing better than unwinding in front of the fire and catching up with new friends after a busy day. Speaking of busy days, you’ll find some of Cornwall’s most spectacular beaches just a short drive from East Thorne. With Summerleaze, Crooklets and Widemouth Bay all just a short journey away by car, this is definitely a holiday for the beach bums amongst you.

Idyllically situated on a river bank in a small and private complex, tucked away in the Cornish countryside about 7 miles from the rugged North Cornwall coast, with its beautiful tors, coves and beaches. This location brings all that Cornwall has to offer within easy reach. Walkers, Hikers and Cyclists are spoilt for choice of footpaths, such as ‘The Saints Way' and the Coastal Path ranging both north and south. Alternatively up Roughtor onto Bodmin moor, and see the remains of its pre-historic settlements.Or just drive to the coast, for a boat/sea-fishing trip from Boscastle and Padstow. See nearby Port Isaac where Doc Martin is filmed. Visit the locations used in the filming of Poldark. Or to Tintagel and its castle. To the north Bude and Clovelly, to the South Newquay, St Ives, Lands-end, Porthcurno the Minack Theatre, St Michaels Mount and much, much more.Camelford is an ancient market town situated on the River Camel. Its name was believed to have been a contraction of 'Camalanford' from 'cam' meaning crooked, 'alan' meaning beautiful and ford. The town lies on the edge of Bodmin Moor and is about 6 miles inland from the rugged North Cornwall coast. Legend has it that King Arthur and his Knights are part of cornish history, and that Camelford was the 'Camelot' of legend. Further up the coast, towards England, are the towns of Tintagel, Boscastle, Crackington Haven and Bude while to the South West are Port Isaac, Polzeath, Wadbridge and Padstow. All of these have excellent pubs and restaurants and of course you are never far away from a glorious sandy beach (quite a few of which allow dogs all year round!) Boscastle is a tiny port set in a narrow ravine, the town came into prominence recently as a result of terrible floods in the summer of 2004. In the village there is a pottery, a museum of witchcraft and several gift shops. A footpath to the left of the quayside will take you to the 'Lookout' which is a wonderful vantage point from which to view the rugged coastline.Boscastle was once a favourite meeting place of the author Thomas Hardy, and is the location for one of his novels 'A Pair of Blue Eyes'. Boat trips can be taken from the harbour as far as Long Island, where during the breeding season you may see razorbills, puffins & guillemots. There is a demanding 7 mile coastal path walk between Boscastle and Crackington Haven. There are several attractions along this stretch of coast including Strangles beach at the bottom of a large landslip with a rock arch the Northern Door. Just south of here is High Cliff which is the highest point on the Cornish coast path. Don't forget to visit Pentargon inlet which has an imposing waterfall that cascades down to the sea below. The famous Camel Trail follows the route of the old railway along traffic free paths for 18 miles, providing the whole family with a fairly flat cycle through Bodmin and Wadebridge, and out to Padstow where you can sample Rick Steins famous Fish and Chips. The market town of Launceston is the capital of Cornwall and well worth a visit to see the church of St Mary Magdelene, with granite carvings, unusual among Cornish churches.

We have a quaint Devon home situated near beaches, Moors and cute villages. The house faces onto a road, but the room is at the back of the house so you can’t hear the traffic. We’re a stones throw away from Launceston which used to be the capital of Cornwall (there’s castle ruins!) Being in the southwest there is no public transport, so you’ll need to drive to get around. There is however a village shop that sells the essentials just a 3 minute walk from the house.
Our home is unique in the fact that we are pretty much on the border of Cornwall and Devon. So we’re in an ideal location in regards to all the fab places you’ll want to visit while you’re here.
Our little village is quite adorable. There is a little post office which you can get a few bits like milk and bread if you don’t want to drive to the shops. The people are super friendly and if you really wanted, there is a village hall which has activities like yoga and boules for those who want the PROPER village experience ;)

No podríamos haber estado mejor.
