Ski Area
“It's the second most visited tourist destination in France for a reason. It's amazing up there in the high mountains. Year round access to climbing, ski the legendary vallee blanche in winter or just get close to Mont Blanc. The lift pass is expensive but worth it. Make sure you go on the train to the Mer de Glace on the same day to make the most of the pass.”

Museum
“In Charlie Chaplin’s former estate (which he moved to after effectively being exiled from the US in 1953), Chaplin’s World is the only museum dedicated to the revered comic actor and film-maker. Even if you’re not a devoted fan, it’s worth visiting this interactive museum. Peppered with letters, photos and original furnishings, the home is also filled with lifelike wax figures of Chaplin and his famous friends (such as Marilyn Monroe and Albert Einstein). Recorded television performances and home movies of Chaplin and his family are enthralling. A nearby complex holds recreations of Hollywood film stages from his movies, where guests are encouraged to act out some of his most famous scenes. https://www.chaplinsworld.com/en”

Mountain
“A rail journey from Wengen, dramatic scenery to delight; all change at the mountain pass of Kleine Scheidegg. Tunnel upwards amazingly through the Eiger and Mönch, a passage hewn by pickaxe and completed in 1912. Look out of Eiger north wall and over a sea of ice. Alight at the highest railway station in Europe at 3,454 metres. Standing on the Sphinx Observation Deck, the Aletsch Glacier stretches before us, a remnant of the Ice Age, hollowed out and sculpted for the Ice Palace. ‘On clear days, views extend as far as the Vosges mountains in France and Germany’s Black Forest.’* Experience a 360o panorama feature of the mountain world, visit Lindt Swiss chocolate heaven and depending on the season, hike on the glacier or ski, sledge, zipline at the Snow Fun Park. Travel:             - Tickets can be purchased online or at the train station in Wengen Train from Wengen to Kleine Scheidegg (yellow train) Train from Kleine Scheidegg to Jungfraujoch (red train) Journey time: 1 hour 11 minutes Features: Alpine Sensation: A 250-meter long adventure connects the Sphinx Hall to the Ice Palace and showcases the development of tourism in the Alps and the history of the Jungfrau in a series of experience alcoves. Experience and explore the beauty of nature and the anomalies of this location. Ice Palace: The 1000 square meter hand-made ice palace is reached by a blue staircase with arched rocks which slowly disappears transforming into the ice of the glacier. The carving began in 1930s by two guides with an ice axe and saw. Unfortunately they never finished the carving in its entirety. An everlasting world of ice twinkles before your eyes as you move from long corridors into cavernous rooms and halls filled with niches and ice sculptures. Open all year.
