“Kids of all ages, and grown-ups too, will be happy to eat anything on this menu—huge portions of fried chicken, mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts with brown sugar and bacon, and biscuit sandwiches in every imaginable form. Seriously, there’s no need to order separately for little ones. Make an Upper West Side day of it. One of the city’s most beloved toy stores, West Side Kids, is across the street, and the Children’s Museum of Manhattan is around the corner on 83rd Street. My kids practically lived there when they were younger.”

Tienda de bagels

“The absolute best Bagels in New York. I am not kidding if you are already in the neighborhood go and get yourself a bagel with any of the many cream cheese options. The bagels are fresh in the morning so the earlier the better. However they bake constantly so anytime until 2 pm you will fresh warm bagels. NOTE: on weekends the line can be really long, anytime between 10 am and 2pm you will likely find a big line. ”

“Boat Basin is a bar/restaurant on the water in the UWS. They allow pets, which is my favorite part. But the river views are spectacular, the piña coladas are bomb, and there is a ton of grass space to run around and picnic! The only downside is that they close around 11, even on weekends.”
