“The oldest and tallest lighthouse on Cape Cod. The Highland Light (previously known as Cape Cod Light) is an active lighthouse on the Cape Cod National Seashore in North Truro, Massachusetts. The current tower was erected in 1857, replacing two earlier towers that had been built in 1797 and 1831. ”

Beach
“This is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Cape and my personal favorite. For the past several years sand bars create a natural pool that is great for young children to swim in. For more adventurous swimmers you can go out beyond the sandbar and body surf. The sandbar itself is great to walk and if you walk about a mile to the left of the beach there is a seal colony. National Seashore Parking is $20 per day or $60 annual fee. Entry is free with Interagency pass.”
