“Founders Heritage Park is a museum in Nelson, New Zealand, housing a number of groups with historical themes, including transport. A short heritage railway line is operated by the Nelson Railway Society. Several shops operate in the museum, selling bakery and other artisan foods, as well as locally-made arts & crafts”

“Situated in what was a garden centre back in the 1970's and 80's, most of the cafe is in an enclosed courtyard with some inside tables in a cosy space next to the counter and kitchens. I love Deville's atmosphere - all kinds of Nelsonians and tourists come in for a coffee and their excellent food. Their date scones are big, full of dates and delicious, especially if you come in early when they are just out of the oven. Another favourite is the Caesar Salad. It is occasionally also a music venue at night. Deville can't be beaten as one of Nelsons many gems.”

“Our favorite, no bookings, so you may need to wait but no usually for too long. Its always humming and busy whatever night you go and the food is amazing. If you are looking for an experience this is the place to go. We recommend if possible to grab a seat along the bench by the open kitchen, you get to see what they do plus you may get an extra treat. Even the little dots of sauce on your plate burst with flavor. ”

“A unique experience - the Gecko offers movies that will entertain and get you thinking - great for couples, as you snuggle up on your choice of sofa or share a large armchair, sup on a warm cuppa or glass of wine, and enjoy a tub of homemade ice cream. Really great way to finish off a busy day of beach and sun.”
