“Not an aquarium or zoo, but a cute little children's museum, good for rainy day activities. They often have some sort of craft project to do right as you come in, and things for little ones to do, toddler age to tween.”

“Glass doors open to sidewalk dining at this place serving specialities from Italy's Pugliese region. One of SLO's favorite restaurants. It's one of those places, you need to try if you love Italian!”

Tienda departamental
“If you're a Costco member, this is just 15 minute drive north of Grover Beach. Get snacks and food in bulk (if you're having a lengthy stay) as well as low priced gas.”

Delicatessen y ultramarinos
“The best sandwiches ANYWHERE. Expect to pay ~$9/sando but you can share one between two people as they are huge. Call in your sandwich ahead of time so it's ready when you get there since they are always busy. They also serve breakfast sandwiches , have a small outdoor seating and are kid and dog friendly. They are my go to when I'm heading out for an outdoor adventure and I need a big sandwich for the road or for the summit. Make sure to toast your bread if you are taking it to go and tell them no 'herb juice' as it gets too wet! For a really good deal visit the shop at 4:20 until close at 5pm for a half priced sandwich (you can't call this order in). ”

Drive-in Theater
“This drive-in is a SLO must do! It's like stepping back in time, and an amazing big screen to watch the Summer's blockbusters! Pro-tip: swing by Trader Joe's on your way to pick up a bottle of wine and snacks to enjoy during the movie, and make sure you have cash! ”

“This location is in San Luis Obispo and will probably require a little walk unless you are fortunate enough to get a close parking place. Big coffee place frequented by studious Cal Poly students and some white bearded guy who sits in the corner writing. (We promise, he's ALWAYS there).”
