“Pacific Beach is a relaxed neighborhood by the beach, popular with sunbathers and surfers. Trendy hotel bars and casual cafes line the boardwalk, while Mission Boulevard and the surrounding streets are dotted with women’s clothing boutiques, yoga studios and casual drinking spots that draw a young, bar-hopping crowd. Inland, the grassy slope of Kate Sessions Park has sweeping views of the city and San Diego Bay.”

Restaurante italiano
“Some of the best pizza and homemade pasta you can eat outside of Italy. It's popular, they don't take reservations. Locals only tip: Call ahead and ask to put your name on the list and ask how long the wait is and then get to the restaurant 10-15 minutes before the table is going to be ready. Saves a lot of wait time! Or, put your name on the list and walk over to Hamilton's bar for a pint of San Diego's finest microbrews.”

“This is the grand-daddy of beach breakfast. There will be a line, but the food is worth the wait! Plates will be piled high with whatever food you ordered, and they have a patio right across the street where guests can sit and watch the ocean while they enjoy their meal. This is truly a local staple.”

Try a sampler of their breads for breakfast/brunch/lunch, get a sandwich or home made pastry, or buy some bread or a baguette to go. A San Diego icon, it is still one of the best.”
