Descubre San Antonio

Top recommendations from locals

Sitio histórico
“The most historical part of San Antonio is its missions, and more specifically, the Alamo. If you love history this is the place for you. Many people have told me they were underwhelmed upon visiting, but remember that this was a mission built inside a fortress compound in the 18th century. It wasn’t created for tourists! Enjoy the beauty of what remains. I love it, and I also love the huge Live Oak tree in the garden area. Admission is free.”

“The Esquire Tavern opened in 1933 to celebrate the end of Prohibition and has been a beloved San Antonio watering hole ever since, with a short hiatus from 2006 to 2011. The Esquire is back as the quintessential downtown bar: dark, cool, redolent with history, and serving cold, cold beer, swanky cocktails, and excellent food.”
