Sendero
“There are two options for walking in The Redwoods. Walk the Redwoods Grove or other longer Whakarewarewa Forest walks on the ground. Check out the options in the Redwoods Visitors Centre. The Redwoods treewalk gives a viewpoint from up the trees. This option is particularly spectacular at night, with its atmospheric lighting. I recommend getting there either before dark or late to avoid the crowds. Last entry is around 10pm.”

“Eat Street is one of Rotorua's coolest hot spots in the city. At the lake end of Tutanekai Street you will enjoy quality restaurants, cafes and bars. The covered central walkway with retractable roofing is the focal point for this all weather al fresco dining area making it ideal for year round entertainment. The thermally heated footpath and enhanced lighting gives Eat Street a unique and vibrant dining atmosphere.”

There is a great café and restaurant that caters for lunch and dinner. The luge is a downhill experience you don't want to miss out on. For speed junkies or scenic rides. For the even more adventurous there is a sky swing and ziplining through tree tops. If you like Mt biking you can even hire bikes in the summer and ride down the slopes of Mt Ngongotaha ”

It is the home to the world famous Pohutu geyser, to mud pools, hot springs, to silica formations to the Kiwi bird and the national schools of wood carving, weaving, stone and bone carving. Te Puia shared these treasures with manuhiri (visitors) for 170 years and proudly continue that legacy today.”
