Río
“this is one of the top diving spots in Riviera Maya, although its name suggests it is only one big cenote, it really consists of several cenotes meandering along the verdant jungle floor and connected by wooden walkways. The color of the water is so clear that one can see fish swimming without even snorkeling. Gran Cenote is one of the most popular spots to snorkel.”

Water Park
“Regarded as one of the world’s greatest Natural Wonders, Xel-Há provides one of the best experiences in the heart of the Riviera Maya. Practice snorkeling and see hundreds of colorful fish and a great diversity of marine species that inhabit its cove and cenotes. At this All Inclusive Park you can enjoy water activities, ecological attractions, restaurants and the best scenery to admire while you relax in a hammock or stroll the nooks and crannies of Xel-Há. Come and immerse yourself in one of the cenotes, lagoons or caves, and enjoy the aquatic zip-lines you’ll only find at Xel-Há.”

“Come with us on a magical journey through the crystal museum that is Río Secreto, where the history of our planet is written on the myriad geological formations, and where floating in its clear fresh water your life will change forever. Río Secreto could very well be one of the great world wonders. Experience this stunning underground river with thousands of dramatic stalactites and stalagmites. It's like stepping back in time to witness something mysterious and truly spectacular.”

“Playa del Carmen’s main dining, shopping and entertainment district is located on the vibrant, pedestrian-only 5th Avenue. At the South end of this charming, cobblestone street is a central square in which visitors can view various free performances throughout the day. The ‘Voladores de Papantla,’ (Mayan Flying Men) climb an 80-foot pole and play traditional Mayan music with flutes and a drum. Four of the five men, spiral slowly downward, suspended upside down by their feet with a rope, which is attached to a rotating platform at the top of the pole. The 5th remains at the top to play the music while the others descend down, flying in a circular motion.”

Campground
“This is one of the nicest beaches closest to Akumal. Its protected secure and a great place to catch the waves on windy day, this is good spot to spend a half day in the sun, they also have a small fresh water cenote to rinse off after being in the ocean all day. One of my favorite beaches around. Just pay a donation of the sea turtles and they will let you in. Usually 50-80 pesos. ”
