Parque
“My absolute favorite park in Richmond - the sprawling urban green space features century-old Italian and Japanese gardens, a collection of antique and reproduction carriages, national and state champion trees, wildlife habitats with native Virginia animals like black bears and bald eagles, a Nature Center with giant aquariums and creatures of the James River, and a Farm with goats, pigs, cows and other livestock. Look for special programs and events throughout the year. Whoever you are, you can find something to delight, educate and inspire you at this Richmond treasure. Admission to the grounds and gardens is free. ”

History Museum
“Wrought from the ruins of the Tredegar Ironworks factory, producer Confederate munitions during the Civil War, the American Civil War Museum is a tour-de-force. Too much to take in during a single visit, it is a life-long learning center. ”
