“A distance of 73 km from Rhodes Monolithos is a town on the south west side of the island. During a stay on the island it is well worth visiting the Knights of Saint John castle astride the top of a rock 276m high which offers stunning views of the sea. Built on the ruins of a Byzantine fortress in 1476 by Grand Master d’Aubusson, whose coat of arms remain visible over the gate, it was one of the four most powerful fortifications on Rhodes and despite being attacked several times by invading armies it never fell. Also of interest are the region’s religious monuments, namely the church of Agios Panteleimon and the monastery of Skiada. For a swim there is the beach of Fournoi 4 km outside the village.”

“This is the Old Town of Rhodes, or otherwise known as the Medieval Town of Rhodes. This part of the city never sleeps! Here you can shop or walk around in the early evening, or dine and go for drinks later on at night! Its extremely hot during the earlier part of the day, therefore I would recommend you explore it after 5:00 pm.”

“If you are interested to see what traditional greek food is, you should search for it. It is placed in a beautiful and quiet yard, the environment is peaceful without loud music and the stuff is fast and friendly. The food is great and it serves the best grilled octopus - i totally recommend it! Also you should try the stuffed zucchini flowers with feta, green beans as a salad and of course vine leaves stuffed with rice! The prices are quite normal. You won't be disappointed! ”
