Museo de arte
“Get into art, literally! The Mattress Factory contemporary art museum in Pittsburgh presents installation art in room-sized environments, created by in-residence artists. Located on Pittsburgh's North Side since 1977, the Mattress Factory (named for its location in a former Stearns & Foster Mattress Factory Warehouse) is considered the best facility for installation art in the country. The avant-garde art is sometimes a bit bewildering, but always fun.”

“Great for gaming if so inclined. The Buffet on the 2nd floor is fabulous with Italian, Asian, and American choices with a huge dessert bar. Also it overlooks the city and River.”

Restaurante
“Noodlehead is the kind of place you go to when you want to feel bougie but still don’t want to spend more than $10 on dinner. The rustic-meets-modern interior coupled with a Thai-fusion menu and no dish over $9 makes Noodlehead a winner in any book. Try the Chiang Mai Curry for a fun play on yellow curry, or stick with the tried-and-true Pad Thai for a phenomenal $9 dinner.”

Restaurante argentino
“Voted 8 th in the country by Yelp of all restaurants in the United States Gaucho Parilla (Strip District) is currently a 15 minute walk from this building. If you choose to dine in, then expect to wait in a line that is wrapped around the block. (They have announced a move 10 blocks West towards downtown, so double check.) Get it to go!!! Look up the menu online and call them in the morning before they open for the evening. Then call them and place your order for a specific time. When you go to pick it up, walk right past the line, through the doors and straight up to the register. It will likely be ready for you. Pick it up, walk out the door, and eat it on the back deck here overlooking downtown. Fold out tables, and patio chairs are up there already.”

Lugar de sándwiches
“If yinz don't go here, everyone you tell about your trip to Pittsburgh will ask you if you had a Primanti Bros sandwich and if you say no, they are going to wonder why they are even friends with you. Believe me when I say you shouldn't need to eat for the rest of the day, but it's just one of those things you gotta try once! Or you could not - and say you DID. I think this is the original location, but don't quote me on that. There are several others as well if you want to try squeezing it into your existing plans elsewhere.”
