“Kings Park and Botanic Garden is one of the largest inner city parks in the world and is visited by over 6 million people each year. It showcases an outstanding collection of Western Australian flora and is a popular place for picnics, walks and cultural and ceremonial events. Kings Park's stunning location overlooks the Perth City and the silken blue waters of the Swan River. From high above, you can see the brilliantly coloured sails of boats on the river, the twinkling lights of the city, the distant Perth Hills and the endless blue skies for which Perth is so renowned. The total area of Kings Park is 400.6 hectares and features both cultivated gardens and untamed bushland. You can picnic on grassy lawns, take a jog through the bushland or attend one of the summer outdoor concerts under the stars. Children are also catered for with a number of excellent playgrounds suitable for children of all ages.”

Farmers Market
“Fremantle Markets is one of the leading tourist destinations in WA and there's always plenty to see and do any time of the year. The markets are the original and the best, dating back to 1897 featuring over 150 stalls. While you take in the sights and sounds the kids can pat a Koala or hold a snake at the Wildlife Zoo in the Market Lane or meet the Market Fairies for random acts of kindness, along with face painting and balloon twisting! The Wildlife Zoo is in the lane on Friday from 12pm till 2pm and the fairies can be found every Saturday 10am till 1pm and Sunday 11am-2pm. Fremantle Markets is rich with atmosphere and local talent. If you're looking for a unique or locally made present that differs from generic gifts, you'll find it here! Our local artistic talent offers a range of arty gifts, interesting homewares or souvenirs to take back home. For the kids, there is always something special, such as hand-made clothing and accessories for the little ones, baby slings, kites and splat balls. The markets are also a food haven with a wonderful array of unique and delicious produce! Whether you need fresh fruit and veg, lunch with friends or coffee and cake, the Fremantle Markets has something for everyone.”

“Caversham Wildlife Park & Zoo is situated in Whiteman Park and houses one of the largest collections of native fauna in Western Australia. Whilst at the park you can join a variety of activities including our farm show where you can see sheep shearing demonstrations, working sheep dogs, stockman on horseback, billy swinging, whip cracking, bottle feeding the lambs and milking the cow. Or why not have a photo taken with the koalas, wombats and kangaroos, or go on a camel ride or visit Molly's Farm, an interactive farmyard where you can wander around with various farm animals, feed them and take as many photos as you like! There are plenty of picnic areas, barbecues and a restaurant available within Whiteman Park, just a four minute walk away. Caversham Wildlife Park & Zoo is located just 15 kilometres from the centre of Perth, situated at the entrance of the Swan Valley, just 20 minutes drive north-east of Perth. Caversham Wildlife Park is located inside Whiteman Park in the Swan Valley. Use either the Lord Street or Beechboro Road entrance. Public transport is available by catching the bus from Morley to Ellenbrook. Just ask the drive to let you off at Whiteman Park.”
