“Built in 1830, the Round House stands as one of Freo's oldest buildings and icons. Although the building is a must see in it own right, its a great place to go for an ocean view, sunset or just a chill on the lawn. For a short time in 2018 there is a great view of an illusion artwork by french artist Felice Varini that extends a massive 800m across the facades of high street. The central view point is at the steps to the roundhouse. But the most spell binding bit about the trip up to the roundhouse is the little stroll down Captains Lane and back up Ms Trivett Place. This precinct will transport you back and give you an insight into life in this part of the world 190 years ago!”

“Only a 15 minute walk from the apartment these three interconnecting iconic heritage buildings have an over 140 year old history. The building houses retail shopping, dining and bars. It is a little upmarket but is definitely worth a visit even if it is just to view the wonderful old buildings! A must do...is to try the handmade chcolates by Sue Lewis Chocolatier.”
