“Perth's iconic Cottesloe Beach is as pretty as a picture. It's one of the city's most popular spots for swimming, snorkelling, surfing and drinking in ocean sunsets over a glass of wine, a refreshing beer or a relaxed dinner. 'Cott', as it's affectionately known, can be reached by car, bus or train from Perth. Take the 15 minute drive from the city, hop on the regular Transperth buses, or jump on the Fremantle train line and enjoy a pleasant 600 metre walk to the beach from Cottesloe station. What makes it a favourite among Perth's 19 sensational white sand beaches is its many charms. Shady Norfolk Pines, smooth terraced lawns and pristine sands offer the perfect setting for a lazy afternoon or family day out. A buzzing boulevard of restaurants, cafes and bars is the place to be seen enjoying a beachside breakfast, lunch, dinner, sunset drinks or a lively Sunday session. Crystal clear waters and consistent swell make it a regular hangout for swimmers, body boarders and surfers, while the rocks and reefs invite snorkellers to hit the water too. In March, you'll also see Sculpture by the Sea transform the foreshore into the most incredible outdoor gallery space. ”

“Caversham Wildlife Park & Zoo is situated in Whiteman Park and houses one of the largest collections of native fauna in Western Australia. Whilst at the park you can join a variety of activities including our farm show where you can see sheep shearing demonstrations, working sheep dogs, stockman on horseback, billy swinging, whip cracking, bottle feeding the lambs and milking the cow. Or why not have a photo taken with the koalas, wombats and kangaroos, or go on a camel ride or visit Molly's Farm, an interactive farmyard where you can wander around with various farm animals, feed them and take as many photos as you like! There are plenty of picnic areas, barbecues and a restaurant available within Whiteman Park, just a four minute walk away. Caversham Wildlife Park & Zoo is located just 15 kilometres from the centre of Perth, situated at the entrance of the Swan Valley, just 20 minutes drive north-east of Perth. Caversham Wildlife Park is located inside Whiteman Park in the Swan Valley. Use either the Lord Street or Beechboro Road entrance. Public transport is available by catching the bus from Morley to Ellenbrook. Just ask the drive to let you off at Whiteman Park.”
