This comfortable, updated stone-built cottage is the ideal base for an adventurous break in the Snowdonia National Park. At the base of the Nant Peris Valley, one of the most dramatic in Britain, it is perfectly located for climbing Snowdon. The accommodation is great for one or two couples, or a small family. In our tiny village of Nant Peris we have a great local pub with ales, good food and an inglenook fire a stroll from your front door. Castles, beaches and adventures- Snowdonia has it all.
The ground floor is open plan. The lounge/diner area has a satellite TV and WIFI, although it's not the fastest! The area is centrally heated in cold weather and there is a log effect heater for any chilly evenings. Off the lounge/diner is the secondary sleeping area, with purpose built settee converting to a 6'6'' long double bed. The kitchen has an electric range style cooker with grill and fan ovens along with a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine etc. Upstairs is the bedroom with standard double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers etc. The bathroom is en-suite and has bath with shower over, basin/vanity mirror and toilet.
Nant Peris is a small village with a long history. It is much older than the nearby, larger village of Llanberis. We have no shop but we do have our Pub and 14th century church. For shopping,Restaurants etc a short drive or 25 minute walk gets you to Llanberis, which is also a centre for outward bound pursuits including climbing, canoeing, wild swimming, paddle boarding, triathlons and the list goes on... The Royal Town of Caernarfon with its World Heritage 13th century castle, Roman fort etc is easily accessible by bus or car and offers supermarkets and a larger range of shops, restaurants and so on. While here why not visit the REAL castle of Merlin the Magician, or a unique coastal hilltop stone age village-no entry fees !

A very unique cosy property converted from an old stone outbuilding. The cottage is on the bank of the Caseg river and surrounded by a quiet garden, providing an excellent retreat, while only 5 minutes walk from the amenities of the local village Bethesda. Take a local walk in the Ogwen valley, to Zip World or access climbing, walking, mountain biking and kayaking activities in Snowdonia directly from the cottage. A relaxing evening soak in the hot tub can be recommended.
The driveway leads to plenty of parking. A paved patio area with seating and BBQ / fire pit adjoins the garden with the river only 5m away. A storage shed for wet gear and equipment is next to the front door. Once inside, a compact kitchen comprises of a double hob, oven, kettle, toaster and fridge. There is seating around the table for four. The living and dining area then leads through to a double bedroom and separate wet shower room and toilet. The entire cottage has under floor heating. A large secluded hot tub can be enjoyed at the rear of the cottage next to the river.
The main house and cottage is set in a secluded, large, riverside garden. Bethesda town has many amenities - pubs, take aways, a small Tesco and Londis. It is possible to walk from the house almost without using any roads to complete leisurely local walks down to the river Ogwen, to Zip World (restaurant) or to access the Carneddi mountain range. Kayakers with experience can paddle from the garden down the Caseg river before joining the Ogwen, one of the best rivers for white water in Wales. More gentle water activities can be had on the lake at Llanberis and there are numerous wild swimming opportunities. We have a number of canoes and kayaks available to loan, but you do so at your own risk! Mountain bike trails are plentiful in the area, or quiet roads for those that prefer. Rock climbing and bouldering are easily accessed in the Ogwen or Llanberis Valley. For those that prefer, the beaches and surfing on Anglesey are only a 30 minute drive. North Wales has a wide range of tourist attractions for visitors of all ages, including castles, National Trust properties, Zip World, Bounce Below, Tree Tops, the Great Orme, Llanberis slate museum and Electric Mountain, The Greenwood Centre , Foel Farm and the Anglesey Sea Zoo all on our doorstep. Bangor, Caernarfon, Conwy and Llandudno all have great restaurants, cafes and pubs, as well as theatres and cinemas.

Our valley cottage is ideal for couples. It is a small but perfectly formed 500 year old dwelling nestled in the idyllic Nantmor Valley near to Beddgelert with walks, along rivers and lanes or over the hills and mountains, all from the front door The outside offers you gorgeous views or you can sit & gaze out onto the hills through the wall of glass from inside this pretty home The woodburner is perfect for those precious evenings of simply relaxing together and enjoying the tranquility
Looking straight out onto the hills and with mountains beyond, this little home is warm and cosy in winter and sunny and bright in the summer. We have plans to add even more to this lovely space over time including a wood fired hot-tub but presently, the landscaping is presently basic with the garden mainly laid to lawn. It has a patio area and a bistro table and chairs to enjoy the wonderful views overlooking the paddocks and hills and.of course, a glass of bubbly. There is a small ensuite shower room, a pretty bedroom with a king sized bed, Living room with the most comfortable settee ever (well, we think so) and a woodburning stove to snuggle up in front of. The kitchen is fully equipped with Bosch dishwasher, oven and hob, a hood extractor fan, a fridgefreezer and a microwave (we offer a free laundry service) There is a bistro dining table and tub chairs in which to sit and relax while looking out at the views through the full length glass gable end. For anyone looking for guests to join them, we also have two rooms in our own home that may be available, please see our other listings for details.
We are in the Snowdonia National Park, a short car ride to Mount Snowdon or a longer walk of four miles to get to the Watkins Path. Our local village is Beddgelert, a pretty mountain community with pubs, restaurants, gift shops and a general and post office store. The exhilarating zip wire rides at Blaenau Ffestiniog are nearby and Bethesda (the largest and fastest in the world) is just a twenty five minute drive. For a more sedate pace, we have some of the loveliest beaches within easy reach and golf courses of high standards including the Royal St David at Harlech. Spring brings the opening of cafes and coffee shops in which to enjoy a bit of people watching, not something you can do in the cottage but you will see the odd sheep, horse or goat!

A delightful old stone cottage. Set in an oasis of beauty with running streams, massive oaks and 3 acres of manicured garden and an orchard. Ponies can be found in the fields surrounded by ancient protected woodland. A rare gem. Sweetpea cottage comes with stream side barbecue facilities too. It’s beautiful. Carpets of bluebells in May! Nearby there can be found a Real Ale pub with its own Welsh Highland railway station.
Dark sky with no street light allows for beautiful star viewing. Wake to lovely musical birdsong. An absolutely beautiful spot in the centre of a hidden valley.
Only a 2 minute walk away from Waunfawr train station. An award winning pub which brews its own signature beer can also be found there. A horse riding and trekking centre only a mile away called The Snowdonia Riding Centre. We are only a 10 minute drive away from the famous Snowdon Ranger Path which is the South assent up Snowdon.

Ty Bach Twt is a private annex in Snowdonia National Park with its own parking and a raised decked area, with mountain views, garden furniture and BBQ that can be used during your stay. There are numerous footpaths directly from the property into the mountains, mountain biking and nearby riding stables. There is a village pub and shop and the ever popular Betws-y-coed is only 4 miles away. Snowdon and Zip World are approximately 30 minutes drive. Go Below and Conwy Falls are close by.
Beautiful walks in the local mountains without even getting in your car. Walk high enough up behind the house and you’ll see Tryfan, Siabod and Snowdon on a clear day. The village is also on the Snowdonia Slate Trail, which you can easily follow to Conwy Falls. Please note, you will need to have good fitness levels to do these!

Great views, fantastic walking and cycling in Snowdonia National Park, close to Llanberis, Caernarfon, Anglesey and the beautiful North Wales coast. Great for couples and small families. The annex is in a quiet rural area with outstanding views, stepping straight out into the beautiful Welsh countryside.
Originally a Welsh Long Barn, this is one of the oldest buildings in the village. Renovated to a very high standard, full of history and character but modern and functional. The lounge is dominated by a wonderful original fireplace, now equipped with a large wood burning stove. The exposed beams and full height ceiling, with additional windows, provide a bright, comfortable space. There is also underfloor heating and a backup electric radiator. In the lounge there is a sofa bed that could be used for additional guests. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large patio window that looks out to the patio area and beautiful countryside beyond. The bedroom is in the roof space with large windows that again make the most of the view. The bed is a double bed. There are large glazed panels that provide a view back to the lounge and roof windows that again make the space bright and comfortable. There is a separate, lockable store area for wet goods/ bicycles etc.
The accommodation is on the edge of Clwt-Y-Bont - a small village. There are no properties overlooking Cae Rhedyn and so it is very peaceful. Outstanding walking from the doorstep.

Glyn Shepherds Hut is the perfect base for exploring all the adventures and delights that Snowdonia and the North Wales coast has to offer. Located between Capel Curig and Betws-y-Coed in stunning Snowdonia National Park in North Wales, it combines the romance and cosiness of a traditional hut, with the modern conveniences of an attached wet room, shower, toilet and entrance porch. This gives you plenty of space to store muddy boots or clothing and kit, leaving the hut free of clutter.
Glyn Shepherds Hut is no ordinary shepherds hut! It was designed and built to excellent traditional standards by Plankbridge of Dorset. It combines the romance and cosiness of a traditional hut, with the modern conveniences of an attached wet room, shower, toilet and entrance porch. This gives you plenty of space to store muddy boots or clothing and kit, leaving the hut free of clutter. Inside it’s well equipped with a comfortable king-size bed, kitchen, living and dining area, TV, Wifi and breathtaking views towards Moel Siabod mountain. And in cooler weather, the underfloor heating will keep you especially snug and cosy. Outside there’s a beautiful garden to explore and relax in with a well-earned drink after a hard day in the mountains. Snowdonia is popular all year round, so any time is a great time to visit.
You can eat and drink in Capel Curig at the National Mountain Sports Centre at Plas-y-Brenin, Tyn-y-Coed Inn and Bryn Tyrch Inn, The Ugly House and The Moel Siabod Cafe. Betws-y-Coed is a bustling village 3 miles away with more pubs, restaurants and shops. It is regarded as the Gateway to Snowdonia and it lies within the Gwydyr Forest, which covers more than 20 square miles (72 square kilometres). Here there are wonderful landscapes, forest walks and lakes to explore. There’s also the Conwy Valley Railway Museum, Tree Top Adventure high ropes course and the nine-hole Betws-y-Coed Golf Club, where non-members are welcome. Moel Siabod is easy to reach by foot from Glyn Shepherd’s Hut. And it’s widely regarded as amongst the best and least busy of Snowdonia’s mountains. The National Mountain Sports Centre (Plas-y-Brenin, ) is a few miles away and offers many courses on climbing, hiking, paddling and biking. Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) is a short and beautiful drive away from Glyn Shepherds Hut. Llanberis, home to the Snowdon Mountain Railway and Beddgelert with its pretty tea rooms and Welsh Highland Railway to Caernarfon and Porthmadog are also close by.

Welcome to our newly converted chalet located at the bottom of our garden at the foot of the Carneddau Mountain Range in Bethesda. It contains a brand new small kitchen with all basic utensils, pots, pans, kettle, toaster and electric hobs. We also supply tea, coffee and milk. The bed is a SOFA BED. It is a stones throw away from the famous 'Zipworld' (15 min walk) and the Carneddau mountain range (10 min walk), and a short drive from Snowdon (15 min). Perfect location to experience Snowdonia.
The chalet is located at the bottom of our garden. Newly converted it is the ideal location for exploring all that Snowdonia has to offer. You’re more than welcome also to use our spacious garden. Parking is a problem in the area but not at Fron Isaf where you will have your own parking bay.
Bethesda is a vibrant working town. The Penrhyn Slate Quarry, now home to Zip World, used to be the largest Slate Quarry in the world, employing up to 3000 workers at its hight. Today the number is far lower and tourism has become more important. Nevertheless the spirit of the village and its Welshnes lives on in its residents. The George (Y Sior) is a 5 minute walk from the property. Serving locally brewed cask ales and a warm Welsh welcome I would recomend a visit. If you choose not to use the newly installed kitchen in the Fron Isaf there is ample choice of food available on the high street and nearby. Ranging from take aways to resteraunts. Bethesda is a haven for walkers. Close to all the major mountain ranges of Snowdonia and within walking distance (literally a couple of minutes walk) of the Carneddau mountain range. Buses also run all day from Bethesda through Nant Francon towards Cwm Idwal and Llyn Ogwen and Capel Curig amd Betws y Coed.

Our cosy 'Elidir' glamping yurt has one double bed, two chairs, tea and coffee, kettle, electric fire and sockets for charging phones. With modern newly refurbished facilities, it's probably the most unique accommodation in the local area! Campfires allowed, BBQ's allowed. The perfect base for Snowdonia! The Llanberis Path and Snowdon Ranger can be accessed direct from the yurt! (You can leave your car here so you don't have to stress about finding a parking spot!)
If you are looking to conquer Snowdon - this is the perfect base. We are the closest campsite to the Llanberis Path; a simple half an hour walk will find you a quarter of the way up Snowdon on the Llanberis Path. The ranger path is also accessible from camp. The Miners and Pyg are also easily accessible via the Sherpa bus from Llanberis village (10 minute walk). If Mountains aren't your thing - don't worry, there are ample tourist attractions in the local area such as Zip World, Caernarfon Castle, Bounce Below! As comfortable and lovely the yurts are - Glamping is STILL technically Camping! Please be aware, the yurts will not be as warm as indoor accommodation during exceptionally cold nights in the wintery months. The yurts are perfect for anyone wanting a countryside escape with (a lot!!) more comfort than our campsite has to offer... Or simply those who are after more of a unique feel than 'standard' accommodation can offer! Even though the yurts are based on our campsite, the yurts are in a private position and feel completely separate. Due to this we do not allow camping in the yurt area, nor allow anyone who isn’t on your booking in the yurt, general yurt area or use the glamping facilities. This is a one rule for all. New for 2019 - Our lovely modern toilet block has been FULLY RENOVATED. This is a private toilet block for yurt guests only! (will be shared with our other 3 yurts but NOT with the general campsite) Showers are FREE. (for hygiene reasons please bring your own towels and toiletries, toilet roll is provided.) NO TOWELS ARE PROVIDED NO COOKING FACILITIES NO PLATES / CUTLERY ARE PROVIDED Do not use post code in satnav or airb&b directions. Type Camping in Llanberis into Google maps for accurate directions.

    Leigh2018-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Excelente ubicación, habitación cálida y fácil acceso a ciudades cercanas

    James2018-10-08T00:00:00Z

Our place is close to the following: Blaenau Ffestiniog railway station - ten minute walk. We have a floor mattress or a camp bed if needed.

THE VALLEY - Nant Gwynant Directly from the bottom of the drive you can walk along the Glaslyn river, which has its source from the top lake of Snowdon and flows out into the Irish Sea at Porthmadog. A ten minute walk down river will take you to the start of the Watkin Path - a spectacular route up Snowdon, taking you through ancient oak woodland, besides waterfalls and blue pools, ruins of old mines, and finally up to the summit of Snowdon itself. Caffi Gwynant is also on your doorstep, serving delicious local food. Two lakes are also within easy reach. There is Llyn Dinas - a beautiful lake around which skirts a well-marked path to the picturesque and historic village of Beddgelert. And, in the opposite direction, is Llyn Gwynant. Porthmadog is the terminus of the Ffestiniog Railway. Within walking distance are the pretty seaside villages of Borth-y-guest & Morfa Bychan. The welsh coastal path passes through Porthmadog, taking walkers along the banks of the Glaslyn Estuary, providing views of mountain peaks and shimmering bays. If you are lucky you might also spot Ospreys hunting over the waters during the summer season before they migrate to Africa in the early autumn. Porthmerion is also nearby, a famous, and otherworldly Italianate-styled town situated on the banks of the Dwyrd estuary. SNOWDON - Routes up WATKIN PATH is a 10 minute walk from the cottage. Set on the Glyder mountain range, opposite Snowdon , 'Myn Mawr' is the ultimate getaway from 21st century living. It is a completely unique 18th century cottage, so please read the listing carefully and fully before booking. With unparalleled dramatic mountain views, this little cottage has been subject of poetry and has been painted in watercolor by the British artist David Bellamy for his exhibition 'Wild Wales'.
The cottage is ancient and offers guests the chance to 'step back in time . Please read this listing FULLY before asking to book for Myn Mawr is totally unique and, is also our home. This is the true ethos of Airbnb. There is no chintz and the cottage is basic and unspoilt and unaltered from the late 17th century. At any time, you will see wild goats, birds of prey circling overhead; the robin at the window of the crog loft bedroom. It is as though one actually becomes one with the mountain, yet the village of Llanberis is only 2.5 miles down the road, as it winds its way to the magnificent Llyn Padarn. The cottage is a traditional Welsh mountain cottage, approx. 250 years old, yet completely unspoiled. It has been the inspiration for numerous poets and artists, and was written about in the acclaimed novel 'I Bought a Mountain'. It is a place of unparalleled beauty and complete tranquility. The British 1953 Everest Expedition trained in the area and were based less than half a mile from the cottage at The Pen-y-Gwyrd which is at the Eastern end of the Llanberis Pass. Living room with wood burner, kitchen, basic bathroom facilities, double crog loft bedroom, garden, mountains, river & waterfall to the rear of the cottage. You will have the cottage all to yourselves, and we trust you will respect it, and be as happy during your visit as we are when we come home for our visits! It is the most beautiful experience and we never ever tire of the sheer beauty and ancient magic the mountains exude. Even when it rains, it is cosy and delightful. The cottage is clean but can be a little dusty, due to its positioning on the mountain. It is not 'squeaky clean' - It is a home and has a lovely authentic ambience so please bear this in mind when booking. It is not a sterile bed & breakfast. It is utterly unique. Please note: Towels are NOT provided. We will exchange telephone numbers & email to ensure guests have all they need. A friend does the housekeeping and is only minutes away if needed. You will have complete privacy during your stay. Please note that Myn Mawr is listed on other sites and when not occupied by AirBnB guests, either ourselves or other guests will be staying there. Lovely little village pub with open fires, folk music nights & great food just 5 minutes walk, yet the atmosphere at the cottage is one of complete tranquility; astonishing beauty and a true sense of peace. At night the soothing sound of the river will lull you to sleep. Perfect for romantic weekends, hiking, climbing or chilling out. Truly, an idyllic little cottage set in the magnificent Snowdonia National Park. A car is essential. The Snowdon Sherpa runs from the bus stop at the bottom but a car is better. There is a drivable track all the way to the cottage. It is wise to walk the track first before driving as it can be narrow in parts. One can walk or drive up the path. Its up to you! Walking is the best way to truly appreciate the sublime savage beauty of the area. Countless rivulets of mountain springs will refresh you along the way, wherever you choose to wander. The cottage is basic, beautiful, but not luxurious. Guests need to be prepared to 'rough it'. The winds can gust and weather changes can occur quickly, though this adds to its charm as one is part of the entire experience. A mountain cottage is unlike any other type of house. The walls of the cottage are deep and rugged to offer shelter from its exposed (Website hidden by Airbnb) is part of the mountain and one truly experiences nature when in the cottage.

Absolutamente excelente lugar y no podemos esperar a volver.

This house was originally a butchers shop in the picturesque village of Tanygrisiau. It has a self contained garden flat on the lower ground floor. The Ffestiniog railway runs in front of the main house and beautiful walks are on the doorstep.
The house retains many original features although the lower ground floor flat is newly renovated with an added private conservatory. It still retains the old character with wooden beams and a log burning stove in the living area.
Tanygrisiau is a small old slate mining village on the outskirts of Blaenau-Ffestiniog in Snowdonia National Park.

Me he alojado algunas veces y siempre he tenido un descanso tranquilo y reparador.

The Barn is situated in a stunning and idyllic location surrounded by nature, and yet within easy access to the Village and the start of the main Snowdon footpath. The Barn has been sensitively restored and maintains many of it's original features, including crog loft (upstairs sleeping area with limited head room, accessed via steep stairs) and exposed beam ceilings. The 7.5 acres of land are situated directly behind the barn. Close proximity to Zip World, Caernarfon, local beaches, and waterfalls
The Barn has been sensitively restored, and although it has a lot of it's original character, it is fully modernised with central heating and a modern, compact but fully functioning kitchen area. All towels and bed linen are provided. There is a mobile wireless internet at the property but sometimes the data allowance gets used up quite quickly - so I can’t guarantee that there will be WiFi durning your stay. However there is excellent 4G signal for most network providers There is also a selection of board games, books and lots of CDs to help keep you entertained :-))
