Palace
“This historic palace is located around 45-60 minutes outside of Oxford in the village of Woodstock. You can travel there by the S3 bus from Gloucester Green bus station or the number 7 bus from George Street. It is famous for being the birthplace of Winston Churchill, one of our greatest prime minister, and as a baroque masterpiece. It has been used for many movie locations, including James Bond. The grounds are beautiful, with a maze, lake, butterfly house and narrow gauge railway. There is a cafe and shop selling upmarket items, including clothes, toys, household goods and alcohol such as boutique gins. See www.blenheimpalace.com for opening hours and other visitor information. ”

“A family friendly parkland walk, with lots of unexpected facts about the landscape and a photo challenge along the way, is free to pick yup from the coach house. The Stables Tearoom is set in a cosy old building. Fresh soups and lights meals are prepared daily along with an assortment of cakes and scones. Enjoy a cream tea, hot or cold drinks, or even a local ale or a glass of chilled wine with your lunch. Take a seat indoors or outside in the tearoom garden, surrounded by beautiful flowers. The Coach House shop has plants, gifts and second-hand books. ”
