Coworking
“This han (a caravanserai) was constructed in 1572 and is an excellently preserved example of the architecture of that period. Hans were used as accommodation and storage places for merchants as they passed through town, often including stabling facilities for their horses (or camels) and sometimes recreation facilities such as restaurants and hamams (Turkish baths) as well. The Büyük Han has been painstakingly restored to its former Note this is on the Turkish 'side' of Nicosia, so you will need to cross the border at either Ledra Street Checkpoint (for walking) or Metehan/Ayios Dometios Checkpoint (for driving). Passports/ID required for the crossing, plus a 20 Euro insurance if driving. ”

Museo de arte
“The A. G. Leventis Gallery was opened in central Nicosia in 2014, fulfilling Anastasios G. Leventis' bequest to make the art treasures acquired during his lifetime accessible to his compatriots in Cyprus. Following an international architectural competition, construction of the Gallery began in 2011 and was completed in 2014. Eco-friendly and equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual resources within the framework of a traditional museum, the Gallery is designed to inform and entertain visitors of all ages. ”

Carretera
“Lidra - in the past, the main shopping street of Cyprus (similar to the ancient state, the remains of which were recently discovered in the Eleftheria square, in front of the Old City Hall); and then in the period of the struggle for independence (1955), as defined by the British authorities, the “murderous mile”. Today, it attracts locals and guests of the island with an abundance of boutiques and cafes located in historic buildings. The street ends with a checkpoint: by presenting the necessary documents confirming legal residence in the Republic of Cyprus, you can go to another part of the divided city (from 1963) and get a little familiar with the life of the Turkish Cypriots .”

Mosque
“The most recognisable landmark in North Nicosia, the Selimiye Mosque began life as the Church of Agia Sofia and was finished after a 78-year construction process in 1326. It has been a mosque since the 16th century, when the Ottomans took control of the island. This merging of elaborate medieval church design and the simplicity of mosque design has created a fascinating space with the soaring interior of this typically Gothic structure having been whitewashed and any icon details long taken away. If you'd like to enter, bring a headscarf (for females) and dress modestly (no shorts or shoulderless tops). The mosque is a five-minute walk from the Ledra Street border crossing(Passport required)”
