“This is an absolute must-see in Munich! English garden is full of German culture, with its ice river, where people are floating during summer? It’s surfer wave where people are surfing throughout the whole year and the Chinese tower beer garden you can spend a whole afternoon there.”

“The Olympic Park is one of the most impressive and popular places in Munich. Created on the occasion of the 1972 Olympic Games, it is home to some of the state capital's most important buildings: the Olympic Stadium and the Olympic Hall with its world-famous tent roof construction and the 290-metre-high Olympic Tower with its viewing platform. In addition, the 850,000 square metre park offers a varied range of leisure activities with concerts, spectacular events, festivals and a variety of sports activities.”

Surf Spot
“EISBACHWELLE | ENGLISCHEN GARTEN | MUNICH | WWW.EISBACHWELLE.DE One of my favorite places in Munich when I want to escape the city for a few hours or less is the English Garden. You are in the middle of the city but you’re being surrounded by so much nature. And one of the places I visit the most is the Eisbachwelle. Even if it is just for a sneak peak when I’m ridding my bike to the city center. In the middle of Munich: surfing! No matter if it’s summer or winter, morning or evening, rain or sunshine, you will always find a few surfers ridding the cool waves. In the last couple of years there are also some female surfers that I absolutely admire. If you’re not really the surfer type, this place is still perfect for a cool down on a hot summer day and it’s absolutely amazing. And the unwritten rules between the swimmers and the surfers make them coexist just perfect. If you don’t happen to wear a bathing suit you can still cool down by seating on the side with your feet in the water and an ice cream in your hand, just watching the brave ones that trusted themselves into the cool but great water!”

“In Summer its a nice place to have walk at the river site or just sit there, relax and go for a swim. There is a little island in the middle of the river to which you can walk to. There is even a little sand beach on there. People make BBQs there and enjoy their day. ”
