“What's not to love? In the heart of downtown Missoula, Caras Park is your go-to place for local festivals, including weekly standbys: - Wednesday 11am-2pm "Out to Lunch": food trucks, music, and family activities. - Thursday 5:30pm - 8:30pm: Same as Out to Lunch but the dinner edition. - Saturday morning farmers market: 8am - 1pm: Local farmers, food, and music. This is a local classic. ”

“Another great place for dogs and many intersecting trails. There are more trail heads if you continue past the first trailhead to a dirt road on the left. ”

“This outstanding 42-acre city park runs along clean and beautiful Rattlesnake Creek for about 1 mile and is a diverse mix of cottonwood bottomlands and coniferous forest. A paved trail runs the length of the park and numerous unpaved paths go near the creek and toward more undisturbed places. This city park has an impressive interpretive birding trail named after Arnold Bolle, a famous conservationist and former University of Montana professor. A series of interpretive signs along the trails identify the most commonly seen birds; more than 100 bird species have been identified here. ”

“ Good trail for running/walking with interpretive signs. It's a short walk to a nice sandy beach for swimming or putting in for a float. Also a great meadow for finding bugs and birdwatching. Just watch out for the mosquitoes, bug spray is a MUST. Trail to the river may be flooded in spring/early summer. Has pit toilets/outhouses.”

“This area was voted on by the taxpayers as an incentive to bring sports teams to our area and our community coffers. We really like the huge complex and walking tours. Be sure to visit Fort Missoula and the Military History Museum. This was the Internment camp of Japanese and Italian Prisioners of War during World War 2. Drive on out South Ave. and have lunch or dinner at the Trough. This former dairy has been converted into a fun deli and cafe. Don't be fooled because they serve sandwiches as well as steaks. Very good. Dwain and Judy Wright”

“The most amazing dog park I’ve ever been to. I don’t go often, but it’s right off the bike path and Kim Williams Trail. It is a huge area with access to the Clark Fork River. ”

“In addition to the tennis courts, there's lots of play structures, and a water fountain to play in during the summer months. Also during the summer are free weekly music gatherings, Music in the Park. Lots of room to throw a frisbee or ball around.”
